Lawn Service
About 12 years ago, we made a major investment in landscaping the areas surrounding our home. In the years since, we have used several local companies to provide regular maintenance of our landscaping and have never been completely satisfied with any of them, at least not until now. Last year, on the recommendation of a friend, we started using Aloha Yard and Home Care, better known to us as and quot;Robyn, and quot; the owner and primary service provider of the company.
They say that the quality of a company begins at the top, and that is certainly true in this case. It feels like Robyn is our personal gardener rather than the head of some impersonal company. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and pays personal and professional attention to everything she does. I don't know a lot about growing things and I really don't want to. I want someone who does know to tell me what I need to know, what needs to be done (and what doesn't), and to do what is necessary in a responsible, timely and professional manner. That person is Robyn.
Here are a couple of examples of what I am talking about. Unlike some of our previous service providers, Robyn has never sent unsupervised workers to our home. If the job is small, she does it herself. If the job is big, she brings assistants and carefully manages and oversees all of the work that is done.
And, this second example is an absolute first for me. During these last few summer months, our grass has been growing rapidly, and Robyn has been mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing on a weekly basis. When she came last week she sought me out to tell me that things were slowing down and that she really didn't need to keep coming that often. That suggestion meant more money for me and less for her. How often does that happen?
Her prices are competitive and reasonable and she always takes the time to be sure we know what she is going to before she does it. Today she started our regular fall maintenance project which will probably include the removal of a cherry tree that's fallen victim to some disease. I mention that so you understand the broad range of things she can do.
As I said before, Robyn is our personal gardener. If you want one, she's it.
