Romani Construction

Jim Romani had built a home for usin the Pasadena, California area several years ago, and his skill and attention to detail were amazing.  We hired him to remodel of a three story beach house in Huntington Beach which we recently purchased.  We demolished the front of the house to replace the first floor living room and add a second floor family room, enlarged an existing bathroom, and reconfigured an existing bedroom to be an amazing bunkroom with four full size built in sleeping compartments.  During the remodel, we discovered many hidden issues, including dry-rot in ceiling and floor joists and improperly done electrical rewiring by the prior owners.  Jim was on the job every day, sometimes with more than 10 subcontractors at a time, to make sure the house would be finished on time despite all the extra wook.  The end result was a beautiful, contemporary beach house which we (and all the neighbors) absolutely love.  During the final inspection, the City inspectors told us that they had never seen better quality construction. 
Romani Construction charges a flat fee over the actual construction costs, so there is no incentive for them to cut corners and there are no surprises or "change fees."  To keep the costs doew and make sure our job was completed on time, Jim did a lot of the work on our house himself, including rewiring the entire kitchen, without charging us for his time.  He worked hard to obtain the best prices from material suppliers and subcontractors, and passed those savings on to us.  He is extremely skillful and scrupulously honest - we would never use any other contractor.
