Eric came out, diagnosed the possible causes of the problem (probably colder weather and need to lube screw track). He checked to make sure it was working properly and told us to call him back if it malfunctioned.  He is very prompt and professional and it is a pleasure to have him work on our garage door.

Late on a Saturday morning, I desperately left word with a receptionist/call service at Peterson Garage Door Co. about a sagging and chattering sectional garage door that would not close. Our usual longtime (and now former) garage door sales and service provider had failed to show up as agreed and to return calls for several days. The receptionist at Peterson Garage Door Co. contacted Eric, the owner, and telephoned me back about 5 minutes later confirming that Eric would come within two hours.
About an hour later, Eric and his partner/assistant, Gary, arrived, immediately diagnosed the problem, and quickly took measurements. Since it was Saturday afternoon, Eric said he might not be able to get some heavy steel braces to fix the garage door the same day.
Nevertheless, Eric somehow managed to obtain the necessary parts from a supplier and to return later the same Saturday. He and Gary installed the braces and lubricated the door tracks within 15 minutes of their arrival. The door now works just as well as it ever did in the past. 
Eric and Gary are models of professionalism. Plus, they are pleasant to deal with. The price charged was very fair under the circumstances. (A less honest provider could have easily insisted that only an expensive new garage door would solve the problem.) Based on this positive experience, I'll call Peterson Garage Door Co. in the future for our garage door needs and recommend this outstanding garage sales and service company to friends and relatives.

Extremely prompt. Replaced a part on the motor which he had in his truck. Reassembled all the covers and switches that I'd removed when trying to trouble-shoot on my own. Price was more than fair.

My garage door opener broke on a Saturday around Noon and Eric at Petersen Garage Door was able to squeeze me in at 2:30 the same day. He made the repair in less than 30 minutes and also made some adjustments - sort of a tune up for the door. The door works perfectly and is now much quieter and closes smoother than before. I was not charged extra for weekend/same-day service and got the Angie's list discount. Quick, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Highly recommend.

They were about $100 cheaper than the company who did the original installation. If the work around didn't work, they offered to apply what we paid to install a new opener motor. I was very impressed with their service.

We had a very good service he was a alittle late but that was ok there was a mix up at the office, he gave us $25.00 off the bill we would use them again in the future

This is the second time I have used this company. They are great. They came within a couple hours of my call on a Saturday, and completed the job the same day. The last time they helped me with this was 2006. I would not hesitate to contact them again for a repair or recommend them to others.

Within 30 min. from initial call Mr. Peterson arrived and worked on the garage door. It was suggested to me to wait before writing review. As it happen days after the garage door would closed down but stopped about an inch from the floor. After several days I called Mr.Peterson and left a message. This time I did get an immediate response so I asked my sister to call and Mr. Peterson came the following day and fixed the garage door. In fairness to Mr. Peterson I had polio and my vocal cords were affected, as a result it is hard to be understood and also to be taken seriously.

Very nice, punctual and professional. Used them twice and would highly recommend. Door has been working great since they fixed it. They were able to come out same day I called and were able to give me a time so I didn't have to wait around for hours.

Overall the I was very satisfied with the repair work on my garage door. There was only one small glitch, which was the timing of when repair would start. One of my main concerns was how long the door would be out of operation. Fortunately the repair truck had all the tools and parts necessary to have it working in less than an hour. There was no waiting for parts to be ordered or sent for.

They had lots of reports on Angie's List and that is why I chose them. They were very, very good and very efficient. I was happy with them. I was impressed by them because they gave me a quote that was too low and they honored that quote. I thought that was nice. They were late by 50 minutes.

Our garage door began sticking and not closing all the way, especially when the temperature dropped. We called Peterson Garage Door right before the Christmas holiday, so we weren't able to get someone out to look at it until after the holiday, but we weren't in a hurry, so it wasn't a problem.
Eric came to look at the door and arrived promptly, serviced the unit, identified the problem and replaced a small part, but only charged us the amount for a service call! Our door is now working great! We will definitely use them again!

About 3 weeks before my springs broke, my garage door had been sticking part way up and I called them to see if they could come out. I mentioned that I was not sure if some WD 40 might not work but was scared that I would screw up the door. They told me that there should be no problem using WD 40 but to call them if the problem continued. I was so impressed that they didn't tell me that they had to come out to see and charge me a service call that I told them that they would be the ones I called for future service. So when my springs broke, they were the ones I called. Since I was unable to get into my garage until they came out the arrived shortly to fix the door. They were personable and professional and it was really a delightful experience. A few weeks later, the door was having a problem again and they came out to look, made a slight adjustment to the motor without charging me an additional fee. All around a great experience.

I called several garage door contractors and this was the only one with a live human being answering the phone. She radio'd Eric who was in the field and he was here in 1/2 hour. He diagnosed the problem and gave me several alternatives without any sales pitches. I decided to replace our opener rather than repair it because it was old and noisy. Eric recommended a replacement, I asked lots of questions, then I decided to upgrade a little to get a quieter belt drive model...this added about $50 to the cost. Again, he did not try to push anything. Once I decided, he got the supplies and came back the next day to install -- about 1.5 hours later, it was done. They even oiled my garage door on both visits (at no charge) which had not been maintained properly. I love my new opener - it is so quiet and smooth I could sleep under it. The experience was so easy, pleasant and professional. The door no longer screeches and my neighbor is probably doing backflips with joy. Pricewise, I think they were fine - not cheap but not outrageous either. I would definitely recommend them.

This is the second time I have used Peterson and it was a good experience both times. I called and Eric came by that day, took a look and said he would have to order a new baffle. It was a style with one groove on the bottom, instead of 2, and apparently this makes it much more difficult to find a replacement. He called a friend of his who was going to the factory that week, and asked if he could pick up a baffle, as they are not readily available at retail. We waited a week to see if the rats would eat through the baffle we had jury-rigged, but they did not, so we went ahead with the replacement about 10 days later. No problems. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

My garage door was open and would not open or close. The person answering the call (yes, a REAL person) asked a few questions and then called back about five miutes later saying Eric would be a my house in about 45 minutes! Eric and his associate quickly diagnosed the problem...I had inadvertenly put the door in manual mode by catching a fruit picker on the on/off cord. After getting the remote to work again they provided a mini tune-up (lubrication, etc) to my noisy older door. It now works like new! It was starting to rain and they even offered to help me put all the boxes I had taken out of the garage for their arrival back!! Then they offered me a major mark down on my bill from their regular $75 service call...I paid them a little more than they asked for. What can I say...a 100% perfect visit from a real pro I found on Angie's List!!!

From the time I called to make the appointment until the problem was fixed, I was very pleased with this experience. I received a timely appointment, Eric arrived on time, did a good job at the price of the service call and not more.

I called Peterson on Monday for a Saturday service call, and the woman who answered the phone was very polite and professional. The office isn't open on Saturday, so she provided me with the service person's name and cell phone number to call if there was a problem. Spencer called me on Saturday morning to let me know when he would arrive, and he was there on time. He replaced all four springs quickly and was polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend Peterson to others.
