Knock on Wood Construction installed seven heavy solid-core interior doors for us and they did a fantastic job. The prices are fair, given the high level of quality and craftsmanship. Chris McMann is a clear communicator, very methodical, and arrived on time each day. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I would highly recommend their services. We are planning to replace our front door and we will definitely be hiring Chris again soon.

Chris is a very skilled carpenter. He removed old sun and weather damaged window sills, replaced damage wood in the area of the sill, shaped from bulk material new sills to the original profile, installed them, repaired exterior stucco and interior plaster, painted and left a fully repaired window. In a few cases he had to remove and rebuild the window itself. All was done expertly. From conversation with him I know he also does custom kitchen and other carpentry. If I should need that sort of work, I will approach him for it. I did find him through personal contacts, Home Advisor was useless for this job.

Chris did a great job replacing our two sets of outside doors. He is organized, clean and thorough. His work is impeccable. And his follow up is great. We saw the old doors left behind and assumed we would take care of disposal. Something I didn t clarify at time of project. But I was wrong he came back and picked them up. This is the second job he has done for me and I was impressed again. For All future home repairs or projects, I am glad to have someone I can rely on! He is one of the best and reasonable in pricing!

Chris s work is really high quality. I just left him a key and he came and went as he needed to untill he got the jobs completed. This made him very easy to work with because I could go to my office I didn t have to be at home every time he was there

Chris was the dream contractor. Was able to work within our budget and extremely responsible in following through on the job. We completely gutted our kitchen for a remodel and Chris was present for every phase of it. All the work was done to code. 1) The demolition of old cabinets, floor tile, ceiling lighting, and appliances 2) Scrape acoustic ceiling 3) Debris haul away 4) Electrical rerouting and wiring 5) Plumbing: rerouting pipes etc. 6) New drywall where needed and patch-up 7) Replaced floor surface with all new plywood 8) Installed new walnut cabinets and custom fitted all the trims 9) Supervised the installation of new quartz countertop 10) Installed new stainless steel double sink 11) Supervised installation of LVT flooring 12) Oversaw installation of backsplash wall tile 13) Painted walls, doors and ceiling: four different colors 14) Installed all new dimmable lighting: recessed, pendant, chandelier, and countertop 15) Installed all major appliances: combo oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, and refrigerator 16) Custom cut and varnished walnut moulding: baseboard trim, door casing, window casing Chris was friendly and personable, funny, and took pride in his work. There were several times we threw him last minute curveballs (i.e. deciding in a latter stage that the chandelier light position needed to be moved over several inches) but he never batted an eye and gracefully rolled with the punches. In the end our kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful and we couldnâ t be happier. I would highly recommend him for any construction project.

Very disappointed. Did not honor price of project that they quoted. Poor communication. Very unprofessional. Did not keep scheduled appointments. Met with owner, Chris, to restart project, as he stated to us, with a clean slate and he scheduled to meet with us and never showed up or called us. Very dissatisfied. Would NOT recommend or refer this company to anyone.

He was able to repair our frame on part of our sectional. He took care some minor electrical outlets all on one visit . He understands what needs to be done and does a great job. His work is clean and thorough. Highly recommend
