I was very nervous about embarking on this remodel process and must have met with about eight contractors, all of whom were recommended to me by friends. I was set to work with one of these contractors when he bailed on me last minute, and I was really in a bind. I happened to hear about Martin Hobbs from an acquaintance and I believe it was an act of divine intervention! I was 100% pleased with my experience!
When comparing quotes, I found Hobb's prices to be in the medium range; however, I found the work to be absolutely first rate. He doesn't nickel and dime you and there are no big financial "surprises." We pretty much stayed on budget, except for when we found unavoidable problems, like water damage in the wall. And I thought that the cost to deal with such problems was very reasonable.
I also cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed working with Marty! He is very laid back, but also responsible and dependable. I trust him completely--he is honest, fair and has good judgment. I give him my highest recommendation!
