They put the stem wall in but notched the two by fours down to a 1/2 inch so their is no support. No plywood or shearing on the panels in case of an earthquake. The house itself is build out of square. The bathroom door allows people to see inside because it was not build right. The counter top should have be granite. They put the extra flooring as the counter tops and they are not level. The furnace they put in was not adequate with the sq. ft. of our house. They just didn't engineer the house correctly. The plans are completely different from the what the house is. I took them to court and am still waiting for the decision. In the contract with American Dream Builders it says that all changes/orders should be in writing and signed by both parties. They did not do any of this. They forged my name on all the papers. Once they got the money they tried to foreclose our house. That cost me $17,000 more because they did an illegal foreclosure on the house. The west end of our "T" shaped house goes down and inch and a half. The North wall you can stick you hand in between the house because it is that out of square. I wish I would have known about the other lawsuits prior to them doing my job. The building material of the house was $8,000 to frame my house. I called the earthquake insurance company after the earthquake in 2008 and they said they would not cover my house because of the company did not build my house right. The electrical panel is inside our house and it should be outside of the house. All the doors are so out of square that wind will just blow into my house. Neal Walket was the engineer and it called for a slab of concrete. In August of 2006, the blue prints were taken by the contractor because there was 15-16 errors on it. The roof was leaking during a storm so bad that the water was leaking down my drywall. I have paid all the fees on this house for everything! I even had to pay for a water storage tank. None of the expense were taken care of. They attorney's said it was a civil matter. You can see all the paper marks on my drywall because it was not done right.
Description of Work: They build a house from the ground up.
