Excellent job! I am very happy with the final product and the additional work John completed. Initially, I told John that I had planned to remove and replace a few dying shrubs along the wall after he installed the pave stone. So, his bid (and contract) did not include the addition of bark to the surrounding areas. I had planned to do that myself. However, given California's drought situation I subsequently changed my mind. When John learned that I decided to wait until the spring of 2016 to replant the shrubs (or possibly later) he offered to add the bark to the surrounding shrub areas, including the areas where I plan to replant in the future. I offered to pay him for the bark and the extra work, but he said not to worry about it. A contractor in a related field recommended John for the job. It was a good recommendation. After watching a 3 minute video on "how to install pave stone" I decided it was too much "back breaking" work for me and that it was definitely more complicated (i.e. to get it right) for me to do on my own. Before leaving John gave me tips on how to maintain the pave stone and left me with an ample amount of fine sand to maintain it. Definitely would hire him again for all my landscaping needs.
