I talked to Whirlpool and they basically told that there was nothing I could do and needed to get a new one. I don't feel like they did proper quality control on the product I purchased. And was very unhappy with their lack of effort to fix/replace my problem at no charge.

I purchased a Cabrio Washer (and Dryer) February 2, 2007 for $899.95. It has had to be repaired twice. Once for a circuit board ($300.00) and the second time for being out of balance. The being out of balance could not be fixed. The repairman stated that this is a design flaw that is inherent in this washer. I waited for 10 years to be able to buy a new and upper end washer and dryer. After looking online for reviews I see I am one of many who have major problems with this washer. I wanted to know what whirlpool would do about it. According to the reviews, Whirlpool does not back your product. I contacted whirlpool and spoke with Steven and then his supervisor (unable to catch her name). She stated the best she could do was to have another service person come out to "fix" the washer at no cost to me and if I decided to purchase another washer they would give me 25% off. 100% off to fix a problem that cannot be fixed or 25%off another washer is not acceptable. I want this washer replaced (not with a Cabrio) with a washer of comparable price or a sizeable refund on this washer.
