 + -1 moreExcellent experience with ServPro-West Anaheim. The franchise owner, James Sparks, was on the ball from initial estimate to job completion and I never had to ask for anything twice. Excellent references, proof of workman's comp, liability insurance & industry certifications were provided immediately upon request. His staff was very polite & professional and I would recommend them to anyone who has any type of cleaning/restoration needs. James and his crew were at my home for 1 full week and while it was a little disruptive, I am happy I hired them after screening many mold remediators. While I believe mold remediation is an over marketed service, it is something that you don't want to tackle yourself if it gets to the point where it has really overtaken a decent sized area of your home. Our particular problem really came from a lack of maintenance of the kitchen in combination with an older home that had cracks in exterior stucco wall that allowed water to infiltrate wall cavity.
Description of Work: Mold remediation in kitchen. Demo old kitchen cabinets/counter, remove contaminated drywall, insulation and clean down to studs of wall cavity using many different techniques(sanding, anti-microbial fumigation,etc.). Containment of contaminated area was established before any work was done to prevent mold spores from spreading throughout rest of house and negative air pressure was established within containment. Clearance testing successfully passed the first time using independent environmental testing service.
