I made an appointment for reborn bath to give me an estimate for a shower remodel at Costco . I was not expecting something similar to amway and time share - 2 hours after arriving- I didn't have a drawing , a proposal or a quote. Finally the salesperson brought samples in - by that time I was getting tired . By the time he got to choosing the shower head and accessories - i was too tired to deal with it. Costco said i would receive a 12 month quote - I was told I would receive $6,000 off if I signed up today - nothing written on what was proposed. It’s was not an upfront estimate for the bath remodel but a long windy sales presentation on reborn leading up to an $25,000 shower proposal with nothing in writing. It’s just not an honest way of doing things- I joined Costco in December - I am very disappointed such a thing would be allowed in a Costco store.

This was our second refacing project with Reborn. There probably won’t be a third, nor will we continue to refer friends and family members to Reborn. Our first project, a kitchen cabinet refacing several years ago (while Reborn was still a family-owned business), went well. We were in regular contact with the design and project managers, who kept us informed and, more importantly, promptly responded to our questions and concerns as they were brought to their attention. While the actual refacing work on the latest project went well (with one significant exception that I will describe below), I had to constantly follow-up with the design team to get my questions answered, promises were not kept, and my phone calls/text messages were ignored. The project dragged on far too long before it was finally started. Once begun, the pre-install work (electrical, drywall), and the refacing work itself was done skillfully and efficiently, and with respect for us and our home (they showed up on time, performed the work, and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves each day). However, the job could not be finished as originally scheduled due to a mistake when the cabinet doors were milled: two of the four doors were made with the hinges on the wrong side, which meant that they had to be remade to correct the mistake, delaying completion by another week. After the first project, I received both a call from Reborn and a survey asking for my input regarding the work they did. It is now two weeks after the latest project was completed and no one has contacted me. I guess I expect that, after spending several thousand dollars on this project, Reborn would follow up with me to confirm my satisfaction with their latest work. I have a philosophy when it comes to anyone I do business with: “When I am happy with the work, I tell my friends. When I am unhappy with the work, I tell my friends.” My son and daughter are both considering cabinet refacing for the bathrooms and kitchens at their homes. I won’t be recommending Reborn.

Overall: would not recommend and regret signing this contract. KEEP AWAY from this company! Costco uses them, what a HUGE disappointment since Costco has such a good reputation, quality of products, policies, and service. The initial salesman was not accurate in the description and measurements nor did he clearly and thoroughly explainthe contract especially the total cost plus interest. Then, when the carpenter arrived to start work, his measurements differed from the engineer who finalized the change order form measurements. At each process, there were inaccuracies. When I did not agree to the new work since it was not explained nor diagramed properly to me, the project manager of the company did not accept fault nor would he replace the pan with the correct measurements, since they said I signed the change order and it was custom. However, your salesman and engineer are YOUR subject matter experts, and yet they were inaccurate thus resulting in measurements your OWN carpenter was confused and had difficulties with. BUT you're charging and blaming me for the mistakes made on your behalf. We did not want to pay additional money nor wait another two months for the project to begin, so we settled and tried to make the best of the situation. The project was estimated to take a total of 2 days, it took 3. During the shower remodel, their warehouse ran out of inventory (acrylic wall). They said they could use two separate smaller pieces, but there would be a visible line down the middle of the shower that would be apparent. Due to insufficient inventory, you’re making the customer take the hit?! Why am I paying for a half a** job? This entire project and process was not acceptable. Instead, they left my wall unfinished and told us to reach out to the project manager to see when inventory would be back in stock. UM, NO! You did NOT complete the project, yet you’re starting to bill me, and you’re having the customer chase you down for inventory to finish our shower? THEN, during clean up and departing, the carpenters did not have a broom so I let them use mine. They did not do a thorough job cleaning upon departure; they left behind a sharp and hazardous piece of metal in the bathroom floor that was approximately 2-3 inches long. Had I not swiffered the floor and discovered it, my 7 yo daughter, me or my husband, could have suffered from a severe cut and possible infection due to their negligence, and then would have resulted in legal ramifications. From start to finish, it was extremely unprofessional. I should have gone with another contractor that charged me significantly less and would have completed the project. I deeply regret contracting REBORN. I have to start remitting payments to GreenSky even though the project is STILL NOT complete. No one has reached out to me either. Don’t get scammed by this company! Photo evidence available of unfinished project and sharp hazardous object upon request.

I would have selected 0 if available. WOrst cutomer service. I ran into multiple issues after paying thousands of dollars to reface my kitchen cabinets. I have been calling them for the past 6 months and there is no response. I recommend not to go with these fools who are worthless and never care about customer.

This company bills your credit card without authorization and will bill you multiple times for a single service. Their scheduling department is inept, resulting in lengthy delays for project completion. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!

Visited the showroom Wednesday and made an appointment for that Friday. Was told we would get a phone call 24 hours ahead to confirm. No phone call, no show. I called Reborn and was told that mistakes had been made and they were sorry. All Reborn had to do was call ahead of time and tell me that, but to make no contact - NO GAME! I see that other dissatisfied customers also gave failing grades to communication and punctuality.

Great. I ended up having the old tub demo'd and replaced with a new acrylic tub, the old tile covered with a new acrylic stone-like surround. New shower valve and fixtures were part of the deal. The plumbing works perfectly now and I love the clean new look. Little corner shelves are a nice feature.

I signed a contract and then cancelled it for a few reasons. I cancelled because they their estimate was 2- 1/2 times what another company was for the same work and I was upset after that. You have a three day cancellation policy by law. They called me back and said they would do it for half the price now. If I had gone with them they wouldn't have mentioned it to me I am sure since I had already signed a contract for a higher number. So I didn't like their sales pitch. They spent two hours promoting themselves and a half hour about what I wanted done with the job. I am very disappointed with them -- just the way they did business. I never had any work done from them. They spent an hour telling me how great their quality was but I never got to see it. They got back to me right away when I wanted an estimate.

To make a long story short: We are very happy with our new kitchen and our decision to go with Reborn Cabinets, Inc. Very happy with both the new appearance as well as the process which was personal and amazingly swift. It is not easy to please me/us, and we had a number of past experiences that fueled a genuine mistrust about any remodeling and construction promises. We had some goal how much to spend and obtained several bids from different companies. They ranged from solid but outrageously above budget (Peace of Heart Remodeling, 818-807-8038) to spectacularly surreal without any substance (Top Value California Construction, 310-425-6129). And last but not least, Ryan Reed from Reborn Cabinets Inc (714-678-2228) showed up, and with a quiet and almost obsessive detail-orientated endurance analyzed our needs, options, solutions, not shying away from sacrificing his time-off to meet again until everything was discussed. He drew a precise plan, indicated what other service professionals would have to be included and coordinated (plumbing, countertops, etc), defined the time frame and the cost which - amazingly - stayed within our budget goals. A timeline was set out: measuring technician, wait period of about 3 weeks, and under the supervision of project team leader Ron Giesler, the demolition and rebuild occurred on the dot, starting on 9/18 and being completed on 10/5 (of the same year!). Troubleshooting in the implementing phase was promptly addressed. Major kudos to the two installers Erick Lozano and Christian Marquez who were efficient, creative, and very skilled in both routine tasks as well as in finding solutions to unexpected challenges. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to others or use it again if there was a need for other projects (bathroom etc).

Very well. However, when I called them two weeks ago to add one more pull out drawer to the kitchen pantry, I was told it would be around $700.00 since the previous contract had expired. Previous work was done in 2013. Totally unreasonable. The rep was very nice, and suggested I hire a handyman to do the job. I think for a customer who had spent so much money with them just three years previous, the drawer could have been added on without a new contract.

There were certain things that were good about the company and other things that were really bad. I have to give them credit. The person who came out and did the actual work, he was really good. The company themselves, they actually made a lot of mistakes. You get a lot of aggravation and headaches using them, barbecue you make some type of agreements and the don't live up to the agreement. I had to call that company. I called them for weeks I had to call back and forth, it was hard to get a hold of people. They made a real big mistake when they came out. I finally got a hold of a manager, and he was very helpful. At the end he was able to kind of correct the mistake. He gave me 3 options and then they gave me a different price. The original price, that was for the wet area, it was for a cabinet top and flooring. When it came time to do that, I had already paid thousands of dollars down, they said no the deal was only for the wet area; it was just a lot of money. After a lot of back and forth, they made an offer, and I took it. I needed it. At the time, my plumbing was really bad, I had a leak in everything. It was just something I had to have done asap. They did the work. The manager, he was helpful. The guy that came out he was really good. What I got was real mediocre. It was like the cheapest of the cheap materials. The work was done ok; but already, I'm having trouble opening and closing the sliding door, to get in and out of the bathtub. It was just a mediocre deal. It was just something I had to do real fast, and I was getting ready to leave for vacation. I don't think I'll use the company again. Because of tall the problems I had in the beginning, that's why I gave them that grade. They were eventually corrected, but it was such a major headache to have that done. Right now, I have it. It's ok. It just looks like really cheap. The quality at first was really bad and then they corrected it. The guy that did the work was good. The guy that came out was really good. It's kind of really good and really bad. A few were real good a few were bad.

BUYER BEWARE! The REBORN cabinets were below satisfactory. Company was unresponsive. I called and called and could not get a response during my 6 months of trying to get it done. Turnover of personnel was constant. I could have gotten a Chinese made kitchen faster, cheaper and with better service. And cabinets were below standard. Service was lousy. And when I refused to pay the last payment of $2500 because of unsatisfactory results -- they threatened me with a mechanics lein on my property and served me with a letter demanding their last payment. I will resentfully pay the last payment.

The initial meeting went great; I already had quotes from two national chains and so was familiar with the refacing drill. I was doubtful when the salespeople said the price would be quite a bit lower than the chains. Turned out they were right. Way, way lower. Installation was less than three days. Workers were prompt, professional and friendly. And they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The end result was fantastic. The quality and look of the refaced cabinets were more than I had hoped for. I still can't get over my good fortune in coming across Reborn.

A job that was supposed to take 2-3 weeks, starting in August, was not completed until just before Christmas. We had three different project managers, subs that were fired and then our work stopped, wrong tile work installed, a mis-measured vanity, lighting that was disconnected for months and forgotten about, and I could go on and on with the problems. The gave us a small discount at the end, but it did not even come close to all the aggravation, time on phone calls and emails, the inconvenience of not being able to use toilets and showers, etc... I need some small repairs done in my kitchen, I will not be calling Reborn.

I was frustrated with them and downgraded their project management which to me as a retired project manager was almost inexcusable, for the most part the quality of their work was descent they pulled in sub contractor and my only complaint was with the plumber he didn't mount the toilet properly. later on when I called them about the toilet problem I got no help, they said no we're not responsible I said well could you give me the name of the plumber who did the work let me call them, we can't do that.

In order to do the bathroom they had to tear everything out which I understood and then they stop and disappear for almost six weeks  because they didn't have a part, the thing at the bottom of the shower, call the shower floor. it was molded thing they couldn't move forward without it, they couldn't move forward to do anything without it, I was essentially fortunate that I have a two bathroom at home or I would have to keep going back to Home Depot buying pails because we essentially didn't have that bathroom for close to three months and that's why I faulted their project management way upfront, one of the duty as a project manager is to make sure that they have at least scheduled with concurrence from suppliers all the parts that are necessary they obviously figured if  they start the job I can't cancel on them.It turned out that they knew before they started tearing the shower apart that the, the shower pan, they already knew it was back ordered even before they started the tear out and I wouldn't have faulted them the fact is I would have given them credit for having called me up before they tore the place apart and said jeez I'm sorry we're not going to be able start the job when we said because the shower pan have been back ordered and as soon as we get it in we'll reschedule with you again but that is the way it should have been handled.

The job itself once they restarted pretty well took the length of time that they had estimated and all it would have taken on their part was a phone call jeez Mr Gilbert I'm sorry but we've just been notified by the supplier of the shower pan that the pan is on back order and they estimate six weeks and I would have said something like ouch okay I know there is nothing you could do about it let me know when you got a firm date and also keep me informed so I know I haven't fallen through the cracks then you assigned that to the girl at the call desk and she calls you back every other week, just want to touch base with you Mr. Gilbert we're still following that shower pan and then a call hey we just got it in when can we come back in that's the way it should have gone and in the mean time I would still have a toilet and I still would had the old leaky shower and not be ticked off during the holiday's.

We weren't impressed with the work done. They didn't start on time and ended up postponing twice. They finally came out and there were some issues with the work they'd done. They came out to fix the issues but they weren't able to fix everything. The VP of the company said that he'd look into it and compensate us for the late start as well as the issues, but he never followed up. We tried reaching out to him twice but we never heard anything back.

The first person to come out and gauge the information for the project was incorrect. The secondary person to come out and start the demolition noticed the incorrect information. The gentleman got in contact with a supervisor, who came out and remeasured to give a separate estimate. They were supposed to call back when they were ready to schedule, but just showed up one day with no warning. While working, had an issue with the electrical box that controls the bathroom, and they left that open with wires out when it should have been left closed. They also accidentally cracked the other side of the wall, and left a hole that leads to the bedroom, going through the plaster and wallpaper, along with leaving a hole in the floor. After all the work was done, they left the place a mess, but they are working to fix it. The owner and supervisor came out to the house to check the measurements themselves, and were very helpful in trying to fix the issues. Were great to work with, despite some hiccups.
