I had him come out and spoke to him about a project. He seemed to be very knowledgeable. I did not follow up with him because I went with another company who had done work for me earlier. I might consider him for any work I have in the future. He is a local person. He has followed up to check on the project that I had done. He came out when he said he would.

I am very happy with my experience with Quality Artisan Services. I found the company on Angie's List and contacted them. Mrs O'Mara, the owner, called me back within an hour of my request. I explained to her what I wanted built. She then contacted her builder (husband Brian) and told me that he could be out the same day. Brian arrived, looked over the job and advised me that he would get together with Kate for an estimate. One of the things that impressed me with Brian is that he wanted to be sure of my permit issues because I was already working under a permit for the addition. He asked me to contact the inspector to make sure that I had the proper permits for the job. Mrs. O'Mara emailed me a quote within 2 days. With this quote she also emailed me photos of a deck that they had built. Because I was already into a large construction job on my home and because I had asked around to other folks who are knowledgeable about construction matters, I had a rough price in mind about a reasonable price for the deck. When Mrs. O'Mara quoted me $2,500, she was right in "my reasonable ballpark" for this job. I agreed to the quote and she and her husband came out to my residence to nail down the details. Brian was considerate and asked me what time was reasonable to start work for myself and my neighbors. Day of construction arrived and Brian arrived with all the materials. He was accompanied by his son who was his assistant. Brian estimated 4 days to complete the job and he finished in 3 days. During the whole project he kept me involved and asked me how I would like something to be when it came to certain asthetic questions. This was important because from start to finish he made it clear that he wanted me to be satisfied about what he was building. I am so happy with deck that he built! It is beautiful, strong and practical. It fits the cottage character of our house. Not only is the deck nice but it seems to make the other lines of the house even nicer. As I said at the start, this was a good experience. The factors that initially motivated me to select this company were the promptness in telephone follow-up and on-site evaluation of the project. The questions that Brian asked me regarding permit issues indicated to me that he was someone that was concerned about completing the work legally and to code. With the project now finished, I really feel satisfied with the "value" of the project when you consider price versus quality. A super job. Additionally, Brian was a very pleasant person to have around the residence and at the completion of the project, he cleaned up the job site completely. To me though, the most important thing is that this beautiful porch has really added to the quality of life at our residence. Very, very nice.
