Horizon Heating & Air

I used them about 2 years ago to put in a downstairs AC unit. For this service, I did a price check and they were almost half as much as other companies. Everything was excellent too! I would certainly recommend them.

We have used Horizon, in the past, and always knew we would call them again.  I actually looked on Angie's List for their phone number as I had misplaced it. Angie's List had a coupon which they eagerly accepted.  The techs are always efficient but have never made us feel like they were in a hurry to finish up and get to the next job.

He was very willing. The price was two or three thousand dollars less than other people.  He gave us an upgraded system at his cost. They came in and took care of everything in one day. I was really surprised because the quotes that I got before were all quite a bit higher fir the same air conditioning system. Everything is neat, attractive and I can't complain at all about anything. Plus, he was very personable. He came out himself for the initial consultation and there were a few problems and he figured a way to take of those. We were quite pleased of his work.

We had a number of bids and Horizon was not the lowest. However we had used them before in a condo some years ago and had had a very good experience then. The estimate was very accurate and was exactly what we ended up paying. The entire job took 1-1/2 days including the replacement of the ductwork. All members of the crew were extremely polite and their presence impacted us very little. The mess that was made was minimal and was cleaned up as they went along. The job included new grates and thermostat which were upgraded from what was quoted at no extra charge. Since it was installed the portion of our home which is serviced by these units have made a big difference in our comfort; they are much quieter and we could not be more pleased with them.

In October 2010 we needed to replace our furnace and air conditioning.  We had estimates from a number of suppliers.  Dave Galaway, owner of Horizon Heating and Air Conditioning was one of the bidders and worked with us providing estimates for a number of different configurations. We settled on a York 98% Modulating Variable Speed Furnace with an air conditioning coil and a York 15 Seer Condenser.  Also included was a Merv 10Air Cleaner, a UV light, a Source One Digital Thermostat and all of the city permits and inspections. The installers were very professional and worked around issues that were presented because of the location of the furnace.
The furnace and air conditioner have worked well for 2.5 years from installation until this review was submitted.

Excellent - the workmen were on time, polite and efficient.  Our job went as expected with improvements in our airflow for AC & heat.  He paid attention to our need to direct air to the back of the house and we noticed an improvement from his efforts.

The service was good.

He was really good.  In twenty years, I never had a problem with my air conditioning.  The price was fair.  He did an excellent job.  I paid $1500 for the air conditioners.  The price for installing the heater was reasonable.  I just got a good feeling that the guy was morally good because he took care of his employees.  The company that takes care of their employees stays for a long time.

The owner, Dave Galaway came to do the quote and explain the procedures.  We got several quotes and chose this company because of professionalism, work done elsewhere (we called the references) as well as pricing. Dave provided a written quote and contract.  The work was performed on time and as described.  He uses another abatement company for the asbestos removal and it is done according to state guidelines.  I'm glad that stuff is GONE.  They removed old ducts and all the asbestos in about 4 hours.  That night, we had no heat because the new ducts were installed the following day.  It was installed in a few hours and we love it.  When the heat is running, it is much quieter than the old ducts - a nice side effect we hadn't expected.  The improved  airflow is wonderful, getting heat to rooms that previously had been cold. We highly recommend this company.
