I didnt get the garage door we that we agreed on.The garage service doors that they installed are leaking. The bathroom floor is not done correctly and is beginning to buckle. I had several items come up missing and I am working on a complete list: a security door, silver jewerly, a fan lamp, purses and some copper wiring I has stored outside. They installed windows that are leaking and crooked. I bought a shed that he told me he could put together for me, the shed leaks and I couldn't even close the door after he put it together. There are extra parts that weren't used during the building of the shed. He also asked for more money along the way. He used Cedar wood instead of Redwood that we agreed upon. They used very cheap materials every chance they could. At one point, he also pulled my husbands rifle out of the closet and pointed it at people in my back yard! Including me! UPDATE: The contractor would not talk with me, and the city refused to help. After calling the mayor's office, I got an inspector here. The windows were, indeed, in violation. The doors were as well. Whether he will fix that, I don't know. I spoke to the bond company, and went through them. They sent me to a mediator. They gave him a deadline. I have to talk to him to see if he's going to put the proper window in. I want another type of window where the frame will not need to be enlarged because it does not meet the egress code. The picture window must have tempered glass, and that was not what was installed. Richard, however, refuses to talk to me. So, there's no word from him. He put an inside electric junction box on the OUTSIDE of my house. I don't know if he will put the proper box out there. In the contract, there was supposed to be a plastic gate and fence. He said he could put redwood. He just put some cheap wood up there and didn't even paint the fence. Yvonne Mallory, who works for the Gardena Mayor's office, bullied me and threatened me to sign documents that I did not want to sign, or else she would reverse the loan I was granted to do work. Richard used a lot of my equipment and tools instead of their own. I have materials missing and all of this has been documented and sent to the city. Richard kept switching bond companies, and his bond companies were not really all that helpful. Again, I will keep everyone posted.
