GANAHL LUMBER CO

I purchased about $1000.00 worth of wood for a patio cover projects and had it delivered. A couple of days later I purchase about $400.00 worth of screws and Simpson tie hardware. When the wood was delivered, they dropped it so h****** my driveway the concrete cracked, and two of the 4x12s had termites. I built the cover and had a couple of Simpson ties left over. Unfortunately, I washed the receipt for the hardware in my pants. I didn't think it would be a problem since Lowe's and Home Depot can use your credit card to look up the purchase and do a return without problem. Turns out, they don't do this at Ganahl. In fact. they have a policy that they won't return any Simpson products. When requested a manager, he said they would do it with a 15% restocking fee. This number seemed to be pulled out of that place from which monkeys fling feces. If you are a contractor, you can just charge these things off to the customer, but as a do-it-yourselfer, I can't. Ganahl is not for consumers like me. My recommendation is all do-it-yourself types shop at the national home improvement stores. You can get anything Ganahl has from them with a much better return policies. 

The window installation was good. We had a sliding glass door and 4 windows put in. We are waiting for a front door; that is my big beef. My beef is with Ganahl. Dan Richards is the guy we worked with at Ganahl; he has not called us to keep us updated and has been rude. I am going to call his boss. We ordered the front door at the same time as the windows but we are still waiting for the door so they messed up the order; it was painted the wrong color. We were supposed to receive a new door within 10 days but have waited 6 weeks and it still has not arrived. The clean-up from the first installation could have been a little better. Initial service was okay but mistakes were repeated and they did not admit their mistakes.
