What can I say but that I'll never consider another home service plumber than Drain Masters. Brian Michaud is courteous, professional, thorough, and competent. When he (or his staff) finish and drive away I always breathe easy, 'cause I KNOW the problem is solved, completely.
Drain Masters is not the cheapest plumber in town, nor the most expensive, but (IMHO) their fees are completely justified, and I always have gotten my money's worth.
Our sewer line became blocked and a whole wash cycle worth of water backed up into our laundry room in the garage. The kitchen sink and the closest bath tub also backed up with black goo. We have a home warranty policy, and had used it when the same thing happened exactly a year ago. The problem is they don't consider it an emergency, and take two business days to dispatch service. This happened late Friday afternoon. Paying whatever it cost was preferable to waiting 4 days!. I was out of town, and in charge of finding someone for my husband to call.
I used Angie's List to find a business that had weekend hours. Drain Masters turned up on the list, well-rated for their gas line work, and the quality of the reviews was enough. My husband called, got voice mail, and got a call back within 15 minutes. Brian was here 30 minutes later (lucky timing, he'd been headed for a favorite chicken take-out not far from us).
Brian arrived and asked a few good questions and got to work. He snaked from a cleanout line in the garage to the sewer main, then pulled out the clothes washer to snake that line. He gave my husband advice about things that he finds clog drains (despite what the garbage disposal manufacturers claim! Coffee grounds was #1 on his list (not guilty) but egg shells were up there (guilty as charged). He also recommended an enzymatic cleaner to keep things clean. Refreshingly, he doesn't sell it..
This was top-notch, old-fashioned service. Angie's List really comes through when it saves us from playing roulette with the phone book. Brian joked that he wasn't "your smell-good plumber", but we've no complaints about his sink-side manner. Will call him again without hesitation.
"Thank you very much for choosing my company to service your needs and also for responding to Angie's List report card, greatly appreciate your business Thank Again Brian Drain Masters Plumbing"
"Phyllis, Thank you for choosing our company over the other three companies. Sorry that we had so much trouble with pop-ups, glad that we were able to resolve it for you. We appriciate your business. Thank You Brian and Eric"
