When my husband and I bought our first place together - a fixer upper - we noticed that the prior owner had apparently broken or at least permanently removed the sliding closet doors in one of the bedrooms. Figuring it was no big deal, we planned to replace them through Lowes or Home Depot. Except there was a problem: the doors were a style from the 1970's which went all the way to the ceiling and are not common. Everywhere we looked there was no option for doors that tall unless they were special ordered and that would cost a fortune. Finally, we found Closet Doors Depot. It is actually a small warehouse right behind a Home Depot and you have to schedule an appointment, but it was worth it. Though still expensive, they were lower than anything else we found and we found a beautiful light brushed nickel door that we replaced it with which slides much easier than our other doors do. The installation was easy and they pointed out gaps and issues, making sure to fit the door well to the frame. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service.
