Garage Door Service
Old garage-door opener broke (gears finally stripped).
I contacted from a web-site, that might be broker for services like this in multiple parts of the company.
In any event, they (one guy) came and sold me, and installed a very good unit that I am happy with.
If I weren't doing the repairs on an un-planned/emergency basis, I might have shopped-around more.
I was disappointed to find out that the new unit isn't compatible with any of the existing remotes I had. This is particularly disappointing since my existing remotes are multi-button - one of which is programming to operate the community gate. I have been unable to find ONE remote that operates BOTH the new garage door opener, AND the community gate. The "HomeLink" stuff built-into my new car works both - but no stand-alone unit that I have tried does.

Garage Door Service, Door Service
First of all was supposed to get service on 05/07/2011. On of their guys was next door fixing their garage door. So I thought hey maybe get this guy. Their guy called his office GDS and explained what was needed to complete the job. Then I called to make an appt. The company's real name is GDS not the name above. The bottom line is they screwed up 2 appts. 1 they canceled due to the guy had no equipment. Today the guy gets here and is not aware of what the job requires to fix and has no proper tools/equipment to fix it again. So at this point I told them to leave and I would find another company. DO NOT USE GDS(Garage Door Service Company) OR AFFORDABLE GARAGE DOOR SERVICE AS THEY ARE THE SAME COMPANY !!!

They were professional and quick. They came out quickly, which was nice since we couldn't get our car out. They were very nice.
