They weren't the cheapest. I was more impressed with their quality. We went to the showroom and I liked the style and quality of windows that they had. They were able to give us the style that we wanted and not everybody could do that.

The team from A New View did a great job and I couldn't be happier with my new windows. Everyone I dealt with -- from the owner to the installers -- was prompt, professional, courteous and made sure I was satisfied. I also ordered shutters and am looking forward to having them installed!

We got quotes from three companies, and felt most comfortable with A New View. Eric was an excellent sales rep, and very responsive. Another company I'd gotten a bid from kept and quot;buggingand quot; me (calls and letters), but Eric only checked back once or twice, telling me he was trying to get us a discount from Milgard. I finally got a bit more off the price by agreeing to pay cash (check), and the fact that Eric was able to get us last year's pricing, so we made the decision to use A New View.

I really wanted the window and quot;designand quot; at the front of the house to be on the outside, not in between the two panes of glass. Another company was willing to do that, but I felt grudgingly, and for a lot more money. The third company didn't offer that style at all. A New View had exactly what I wanted in their showroom--kind of an and quot;old fashionedand quot; look with a single row of a rectangular grid across the top and a plain window below--I belive Milgard calls it and quot;valance.and quot;

I wanted some kind of a and quot;barand quot; to slip in the windows to prevent people from opening them too far, on the back windows, which didn't have built-in blocks (to prevent the windows from opening more than 3 or 4 inches). Eric arranged for the installer to cut us white vinyl channel strips for this purpose, and they work great. I believe the front windows, with the grid, are and quot;Tuscanyand quot; from Milgard, which come with all the bells and whistles. The other windows are the same quality, but fewer and quot;bells.and quot;

I believe it took around three weeks from order to installation, and installation took one day. Cleanup was immaculate.

The only slight regret I have is that I estimated the length of the grid I wanted, so it came out looking more like a square than a rectangle on one set of windows, due to the width of the windows. If I had gone an inch longer, they would have been rectangles. But I've received many positive comments about the final look, so I'm good with it. Overall, we LOVE our new windows!

After reading reviews, incl. OCRegister's Best of OC, I went to A New View's (ANV) showroom on La Palma in Anaheim and ordered 2 entryway doors. I said the doors needed to be installed prior to November 4, and was told that would not be a problem. Apparently, it was because the doors were not installed until November 30. I waited until the busy holiday season was over and called ANV during the first week of January 2012 to report several obvious defects on both doors. They had the manufacturer, BGW, call me. BGW said the owner was in China, so no one could inspect the doors until he returned at the end of January. I did not think that was acceptable, so I called ANV to relay the information. ANV did not care. At the end of January, I called ANV to inquire when the doors would be inspected. They again called BGW, who sent someone out a week later. The BGW employee told me both doors had too many defects to correct, and that he would recommend both doors be replaced. After waiting a few weeks and not receiving any information about door replacement, I called ANV to complain. ANV called BGW, who said someone would be out to remove the doors and install temporary doors until the new doors would be available. When BGW came out, they removed one door, but left the other door because they were unable to remove the hardware. For over 1 month, I have had two very different doors at my entryway. The doors are not secure, and frequently open in the wind. While our 3 dogs enjoy the new setup, I have not been pleased. I went to ANV and asked to speak to the manager. A young man, Cash, Jr., told me the manager, who was out, was his father, but it was a family business so he could help me. I explained the situation to Cash and told him that it was unacceptable to be dealing with this issue for 6 months after spending $3,000. I told him ANV was providing the worst customer service I had ever encountered. I also stated that I would demand a full refund in the new entryway doors were not acceptable. Cash told me that the problem was with BGW, not ANV. That made no sense to me, since I chose the doors at ANV's showroom, paid the money to ANV, ANV prepared the measurements, and stained and installed the doors. Cash said BGW manufactured the doors, so I would have to talk to them about the problem - and reiterated my problem was of no concern to ANV. He denied that I would be owed any type of a refund from ANV. I was flabbergasted, to say the least. If that was not bad enough, Cash answered the telephone during our conversation and proceeded to assist a potential new customer who had questions regarding new windows. The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a vendor. I was actually shaking with anger and frustration as I left the showroom after being so poorly treated. The new doors were to be installed on Thursday, March 22. On March 21, BGW called to say the doors needed another coat and asked if they could be installed on Tuesday, March 27, betwen 7-8 am. I agreed with the change. On Tuesday, March 27, at 8:30 am, I called BGW and left a voice mail message to inquire about the door installation, as no one had shown up or called. At 9 am, BGW finally called to say the delivery truck had mechanical problems and the doors would not be delivered that day. I have now been told the new doors will be installed tomorrow, March 28. I definitely feel that ANV pocked my money and has now washed its hands of any responsibility in this issue.

GREAT experience - When we first received the quote, I was not certain I liked the presentation. As a matter of fact, at first, this company was low on my list of potential contractors for our window replacement job (6 companies interviewed). My wife felt differently, which was good for us. Their quote was not the lowest but we ended up liking their product and their price best and were able to get 1 more window replaced based on our budget. The installers arrived on time and went right to work. As they moved through the house, I was impressed with their attention to detail in finishing the small details and making the installation look like new (I'm pretty particular about the small details). We own a stucco exterior and they had to break the stucco on 3 of the windows that were removed. The resurfacing of the stucco after the window installation was nothing less than phenomenal. Often you can easily tell where stucco has been repaired. Not in this case!! The only way you can tell work had been done is the color difference from their new work and the old paint. They even went so far as to repair a couple of problem areas near one of the replaced windows. I would highly recommend this company if you are considering window replacement and will be calling them back when we can afford to have the last 4 windows done.

I called for an estimate. They responded promptly and came out, measured and provided me with a written estimate. The job was completed within a month. All involved, from the estimator to the workers, were professional and efficient. This is the second time I have used them and I would highly recommend them.

It was a good experience with this company. It is a family owned business. The owner was knowlegeable and willing to answer all of our questions. He showed us what we needed to see. The workers that came were knowledgeable and experienced. I thought he was fair with pricing. I didn't feel there was a prejudice towards one window or another. He gave us his experienced expertise about what was and wasn't good.

I had problems with the salesman at A New View and I had to go for a third time to get a proper quote. The work was fine but they ordered one of the windows wrong. They fixed it later. They came back quite a few times but eventually they did a good job.

Before I tell you about A New View, you should know that in the week prior to visiting A New View, we had endured a grueling 2-hour presentation in our living room by a window salesman from Everlast. It was a brutal and unpleasant experience, during which we were pressured to sign up for a $16,000 quote. Eventually we kicked the guy out. So, my husband and I were still thinking about windows, and we thought we'd try to visit a show room to get some comparison numbers. Yellow Pages or Internet, I forget which and we happened upon A New View in Tustin. Off we go on a Saturday, and meet Eric: a relaxed, easy-going, no-pressure, take-your-time, let me know if I can answer any questions kind of guy. Working with A New View was a wonderful experience, and it began with the salesman, Eric, at their store in Tustin. He sat down with us after we'd looked around, gave us a quote in about 15 minutes, talked us through some options and told us about the Milgard rebate. No pressure, no "up-sales", no "extra discounts after you sign up" nonsense. My husband and I signed a deal there and then. I swear I got teary-eyed, it was so easy and comfortable to do, and so reasonably priced. He scheduled us for about 2-3 weeks later for the install. The work was pending approval by our home owner's association. Eric even stayed late on a weekday, just so we could rush over with the approval and get the date set. The guys showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleanly, and we had lovely new windows and smoothly sliding patio door in about 5 hours.

It went fair. There were two problems, but they did resolve them. The first issue had to do with the estimate. A few days after the estimate was provided and an installation date was set, I got a call saying there was a problem with the estimate. In an nutshell, the estimate software they were using had a bug, and on the 4 occasions where there were multiple windows in a room, the estimate did not carry the "quantity" over and the estimate only priced a single window for each of those rooms. My estimate was short by 4 windows. They did fix the problem by providing me a price that was less than it would have been had the estimate been correct from the beginning. The second problem was with one of the doors. It was made too large to fit in the opening of the old door. They had to have a new door made and return a couple of weeks later to install that.

I thought they were great, they offered several options and made it easy for me to make my decision. The representative I talked to was very professional and didn't give me any sort of pressure. They set up a time to come and install, showing up early for the appointment and doing a very good job with the windows. They were very pleasant and took the time to clean up after themselves. I would recommend them to anyone.

They were not totally aware of window codes for our area, so we had to redo everything. They dropped plaster on my driveway, and they had to come back out to fix it. The windows now are nice. They don't finish the frames, so you have to get a painter to come in and do that for you.

The salesman for the initial bid was caught in traffic and kept me posted all along the way with his location. He ended up being only 10 minutes over his scheduled time---perfect. The bid was received, order placed and windows came in. They were very accommodating to my work schedule. The work crew is very neat and clean and professional. All windows were permitted and no problem passing inspection. Great experience.
