I have old windows and they did a real nice job of refurbishing them. They did a very professional job on the house. I would use them again and recommend their service.

Mark is busy and there is a reason. His crews did excellent work on all of the jobs. His bids were reasonable and the quality of the work was excellent! Mark is very clear and educated us on what he was doing (as far as the products he was using and why) and his guys took care our home as if it were theirs. We also needed some basic construction work, and his crew took care of that as well. We will not use anyone else!

Mark and his guys are outstanding high end painters. They do great work. They do amazing prep work. It's 3 days of prep for 1 day of painting. The paint held up so well. Yes, I would use him again in the future.

We recently hired Mark and his Educated Painters company to paint the exterior of our 1950's Pasadena house. The house had not been painted in 20 years and the condition of the exterior wood was pretty bad in places especially on the sun facing south side. Mark's team of three spent 10 days sanding, repairing and priming the wood for the house, garage and shed before applying a single drop of exterior paint. The painting took another 5 days. The results are truly amazing. He and his team took the time to address all of the problem areas before repainting. He also assisted with selection of colors. If you want a painter that is concerned with details, I have no hesitation in recommending Educated Painters.

Mark and his crew provided fantastic service at a very competitive price. My wife and I are thrilled with the quality of work, and the care and excellence of both Mark and his crew. We've seen Educated's signs on many prominent homes in our neighborhood, so our expectations were pretty high going into the job, and yet Mark still managed to impress us.
We compared bids carefully, and although Educated Painters wasn't the least expensive we received, their bid provided excellent value when comparing the services and price against their competitors.
- Extensive preparation and repair
- Two fully-dried coats of paint
- Excellent restorative work on our aging decorative touches
- Thorough cleanup daily
- Friendly and helpful work crew
- Lots of little and quot;extrasand quot; here and there, no and quot;nickel and dimingand quot; as we went along
- Really good advice when we wanted it
I will definitely be calling Educated Painters for my next job.

His bid was competitive and we chose him to repair stucco and then repaint the entire church building. His recommendaton for paint color was excellent. Most of the painted surfaces look good. The workers were very careless about stepping on plants, and destroyed a number of them. Biggest offense was that a lift truck was to be used to paint the church tower, and instead the workers used ladders on our new Spanish tile roof and cracked a number of tiles. They have refused to pay us for the cost (about $12,000) of having tiles removed and replaced. We have spent months trying to get some closure on this, to no avail. The owner comes across as a "good Christian" but has not shown that he has good work etchics. Also took several months to get final details handled. Would not recommend this company.

They have been in the area for quite a while. They did the shutters, repaired some damaged area in front of the house and did the wrought iron and some carpentry work with the shutters that needed to be repaired. I will use them again in the future.

Mark Harris is very detail-oriented and committed to making sure that the paint job is done perfectly. I have used other painters who were a little cheaper, but whose work from two years ago is already peeling (guess you get what you pay for). Educated Painters will give you a competitive price, even if it's not the absolute lowest bid, and they will do a fabulous job. Educated Painters is the only painting company I will use.

I have used Mark Harris' Educated Painters for all of my home and office painting needs for over 10 years. They are not the least expensive painters in town, but every penny spent on The Educated Painters is worth it. They don't just paint -- they restore. Mark's crews arrive on time, and on-schedule. They stay on the job until it is complete. They repair, prep, sand, paint, stain, and seal anything and everything on a house, whether it's made of wood, stucco, or plaster. When they're done each day, they clean up so you hardly know they were there. They restored my 1959 mid century modern home to its original condition. Due to Mark's care and attention to detail, my house sold to the perfect buyers the first day I put it on the market. I recommend Mark Harris and The Educated Painters highly, unconditionally, and without reservation.

It went just fine. Workmen were always prompt and worked very hard. Complete cleanup each day was really nice. Everything was left in an orderly manner behind the gate. We have absolutely no negative comments!

Overall, we are very pleased with the work. The work lasted approx. 25 days, with about 6 painter each day. The day started early at 7:00 a.m. The prepping took the longest. Wood was removed from the carport and replaced with fresh wood beams. Much sanding and priming, then a color specialist came out to make color recommendations. The owner of the company is there several times during the job, and he has some good ideas. The roof above our den needed to be replaced and they did a professional job in repairing it.

I'm thrilled with the work! It was a tough job (stripping and fixing horrible old paint jobs) and required more work than we originally thought, but the crew was fantastic. The guys were extremely clean, worked hard, and were very meticulous. They were extraordinarily clean and really protected my furniture and housewares from dust (lots of sanding) and paint. Mark and his guys work with pride and it comes through. Despite being a very busy company, the job wasn't rushed and the guys stayed until the work was perfect.

We'd been happy customers in the past, had recommended this firm to others and fully expected to have a good experience again. Unfortunately, this didn't turn out to be the case. We selected the company because their price seemed fair, but it wasn't the low bid. It took several phone calls to get employees to come out and finish the job. We were given a number of excuses as to why employees didn't show when they said they would, ranging from not having a ride (at least, that's what the company owner said - when the employee got here, he admitted he opted to go to another job instead) to the loss of a family member. I note that another report on this firm mentions that when the job got complex, they sent more employees, but we never had more than two employees here, and I think the owner never even came out to check their work. Had he done so, he would have discovered our previous color bleeding through the paint. After yet another coat of paint, we're still getting bleed through.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. THE JOB WAS MORE DIFFICULT THAN ANTICIPATED, SO THEY ADDED MORE WORKERS TO GET IT DONE IN THE ESTIMATED TIME. EACH DAY THEY CLEANED UP AND EVEN DID THOSE LITTLE EXTRAS THAT MEAN SO MUCH.

MARK HARRIS AND HIS WORKERS WERE GREAT. THE FINISHED PAINT JOB IS BEAUTIFUL. THE GUYS WERE NICE, VERY CLEAN, QUIET AND RESPECTFUL OF MY FAMILY WHILE THEY WERE WORKING AT OUR HOME. VERY PROFESSIONAL, QUALITY WORK.
