We were impressed that they were able to come over within hours of our call to give us a bid. Arturo was very friendly, thoughtful, and informative. He listened to our questions and answered them fully and accurately. (It's funny how good one's questions are once you've gathered a few bids) It was fine that they could not start the work for about 2 weeks. What was really good was that Arturo offered to talk to our neighbors in the back to see if the crew could access their yards to do the work and haul out the debris. We have a very large yard that is far from the street in front of our house, so having access through the other side would be helpful. One of our neighbors was not happy, so Arturo offered to give them free mulch from our trees. That appeased them. There was a crew of about 6. It took them a day to finish. When we arrived home after work, everything was cleaned up. There was no evidence that they were there except for the thinned out trees. There was a very large and heavy piece of pottery that they did not put back in its place, but Arturo was more than happy to make a side trip to move it back himself. Arturo works on developing trust with his customers, so he did not require a deposit for any work. We simply paid him in full once we were satisfied that the work was done properly. We will be calling him in the spring/summer to work on our oak trees. We would be more than happy to recommend his services to anyone.

Arturo (the owner) met with me and we went over his pricing per tree and then a combined price for doing all the work at one time. He spent the time discussing with me the care that needed to be paid to the various types of trees and the amount of trimming that was appropriate to maintain the health of each tree. He and his crew arrived the day of the job on time, took care of my outside furniture so that nothing was harmed by falling branches, did a phenomenal job on all of the trees, cleaned up and were nice to my neighbors who have property bordering the work. I will call this company for all future tree work.

I emailed Lopez Tree Service and promptly received a call back. Arturo came out with a few days to give an estimate for removal of some trees that had been planted without board approval in the condo complex I live in. The fig trees were planted right next to a building, the coral tree was lifting a walkway and cracking a curb and the ash tree had lifted a walkway and severely damaged a patio. We had thought to remove some plumera trees but Arturo said that those trees really wouldn't cause structure problems. Arturo is a certified arborist so he knows his stuff about trees. Lopez Tree Service came out in the morning and were done well before noon. They repaired a sprinkler pipe that one of the tree roots had covered. They removed all the debris, swept off the walkways and hosed off the driveway. Except for the trees being gone, you would never know all that work was done! We have more stumps from trees that were cut down in the past. When the association can afford it, we will have Lopez Tree Service out to grind those out.

This is the second time I use this company and once again I am very satisfied with their services. Arturo is very responsive. He came to our house the following day, gave us a quote and completed the work that same day. The employees are very professional and clean up after every job. It is a pleasure to do business with them.

Arturo and his staff were great. They came early and removed 4 trees and the stumps before noon.? It was as if they were never even there. They left our yard cleaner and nicer that it was before they got there. I plan on using them again soon for some tree trimming. I highly recommend them, knowledgeable, professional, reasonably priced, and fast. They were also super nice.

They are on Angie’s List. They are going to come out again in the next few days to do some additional work. They couldn’t do that work when they were last here. The owner was very good. He was quite communicative. He answered the questions before we asked him. The prices were good. He was very responsive to any request we made. We spent about $400 for their service.

I had a very good experience with Lopez Tree Service. I knew the maple tree was having troubles, but hoped it could be pruned. Arturo, Jr. was very helpful, sharing options for the tree--costs for various services and projections for what might happen with the tree in the future. I decided to have the tree removed rather than wait for it to fall down in the future. Watching the removal of the tree and seeing the damage throughout the trunk, it confirmed that the decision was a good one. Appreciated Arturo sharing options and his honesty in projections for the tree's future. He also worked with me on using the shredded tree waste for mulch in my front yard (tree was in the back), as well as arranging for me to have the wood split for fire wood on a later date. Overall a very good experience (though I miss the tree!).

Arturo and has crew did a great job! Arturo came to my property and gave me a quote which was broken down specifically tree by tree which I appreciated, since others wanted to give me an estimate for 3x the amount with no breakdown. Once we organized a day, he came on time with his team and they were speedy, thorough and cleaned up well. I was very pleased because they listened to everything I specified and did the job perfectly and it wasn't over the top expensive. Well done and I would hire them again.

I found Lopez Tree Service on Angie's list. I called Arturo and he promptly called back and we arranged a day and time for him to come out to give me an estimate. That day he got stuck in traffic coming from the San Fernando Valley and he called me as soon as he realized he wasn't going to make it on time. After all, it was Friday afternoon in LA. I don't mind these kind of things but I love that he called me to let me know and he was very apologetic. We arranged another day for the estimation and he actually came out on a weekend because we live very close to each other. I found Arturo to be prompt, polite, easy to talk to, nice, and above all HONEST! Everything he recommended about my trees was sensible. He and his crew came out to trim my trees today and they did a wonderful job. I didn't arrive home until they were just about finished but they did exactly what we had talked about and they left my yard neat and tidy (probably tidier than before they came). He even gave me a small price reduction because my gardeners had cut some of the carrotwood tree last week. I highly recommend Lopez Tree Service!!!

I have a huge Elm and Oak tree on the side of my home that, when overgrown, encroach over my neighbor's roof. Over the last 13 years since moving into this home, I've used another tree service in town, but the last time they came, their crew used (without our knowledge or permission) my son's climbing ropes to tie a stake to a big pepper tree that had been damaged by high winds and rain, and the stake only held until the next rainy season. A few months ago, I tried hiring another contractor who'd been doing work in my area and stopped by my home to give me an estimate after seeing the two big trees on the side of the house, but as it turned out, he was not properly licensed or insured. After that and another negative experience with yet another tree service in town, I signed up for Angie's List and found Lopez Tree Service. My call for an estimate was returned on the same day, with the estimate scheduled for the next morning. Arturo Lopez Jr was prompt and on time for the initial appointment, very thorough in his explanation of the work that needed to be done - and more importantly how it would be done so that there would be minimal disruption to my neighbor's property - and all at a very, very reasonable price. The work was scheduled for today - 8/31/11 - and the crew showed up on time and ready to go. Both father and son were on site the entire time, and the crew was careful, thorough and professional, as was the clean up afterward. The work was done quickly without sacrificing quality, and I can say without hesitation that I will definitely hire Lopez Tree Service again when it's time to trim the trees in a few years. In fact, I have four more ficus trees on the other side of my back yard that I'll be asking them to come back and trim. Highly recommended.

After reviewing the work with Lopez Tree (both father and son) on three separate occassions (I wanted it done right) I was confident they were the professionals I wanted. They listened, and they executed in exactly the way that we agreed. The trees look great! They did a lot of other work and their rate was competitive compared to the other companies I had quote the work. I would highly recommend Lopez Tree Service.

Arturo was hard to contact at first, but it was well worth the effort it took to contact him.

Mr Lopez was on time for both the estimate and the actual job. (valuing my time is very important to me) He and his crew removed three palm trees that were overpowering my lemon tree, my house, and the power lines. The trees were squeezed in tightly and I was nervous that their removal could threaten our house, or our neighbor's house. The wrong people attempting to remove these trees could have done severe damage. Lopez Tree Service was professional, friendly, and did a GREAT job. They actually made it look like an easy job, and I know it was not. Before I paid him, Mr Lopez had me inspect the work and make sure I was ok with it. I was, and am. I will use them again. I am extremely happy with the results. He mentioned that it is important to him to make sure his clients are happy because he values repeat customers and referrals and this is clear in his work. I am very happy with the work he and his crew did. Oh yes, and did I mention - they cleaned up and carted everything away AND they did the whole job in one morning without seeming to rush. SWEET!

Absolute professionals. What a pleasure doing business with Arturo. He and his crew were consummate professionals. Even with a death in his family, Arturo still was willing to take care of his customers. The difference, I believe, is that Arturo is an Arborist. Not all tree trimmers can say that. Arturo is certified. The depth of his knowledge was amazing. I will be using his services on other property that we own. He is mine for life!

I called to set up a time for an estimate and spoke with Arturo. He was pleasant, professional and scheduled a time the following week to come out and look at the property. Estimate was scheduled at noon on a Friday - I did wait for 40 minutes before calling to see if I could find out when they would arrive...and due to unfortunate circumstances (a tragedy in their family), they had forgotten to call and reschedule (hence the B for punctuality). Arturo clearly felt bad and was able to come around 5:30 that same day and complete the estimate. He was knowledgeable, and helped identify some of the trees and shrubs in our yard as well as educate us about the health of our trees and what they did and did not need. We discussed when the work could be performed and rather than pushing the work back a couple weeks, Arturo mentioned that he could probably come the next day (Saturday) and get it all done with a crew of 6 guys. The estimate was for $600 total - which was much less than I anticipated for all of the work. The crew showed up around 4:30 on Saturday and jumped right in...our tree was receiving a serious haircut right before our eyes...a little anxiety producing, but I felt confident that they knew what they were doing and that the tree would look better and be healthier in the long run. They removed the dead tree very quickly and the stump was ground down - now you can't even tell that there was a tree there in the first place! Our yard feels much bigger now that the tree is not blocking the view. We did lose a lot of shade...but we're not complaining. I felt that they were professional, quite knowledgeable, personable, just generally nice guys. They completed the job in about 2 hours and they did a great job with the clean up as well. We chose Lopez Tree Service after a recommendation from friends as well as researching them on Angie's List. I will be recommending them to anyone needing a knowledgeable and professional tree trimming service. Arturo is a certified arborist and takes great care and pride in his work.

The crew was punctual, efficient and managed to finish the job in one day which was a big help to us. We were very happy with Arturo's availability to meet us for the estimate, speak with us about our trees and service we needed, and work with us on accomplishing the job as quickly as possible.The crew even retrieved a large branch that had broken off our tree and landed in our neighbor's overgrown backyard. They also cleaned up and removed all debris.

Arturo responded quickly to my initial phone call. Gave me an estimate the next day. From my first meeting with Lopez Tree Service, I felt comfortable with the company. I scheduled an appointment for the end of the month and then needed to move it up to this week...with only two days available for me to have this done. Arturo said their schedule was already booked but he'd try to move something around. He called me back within the hour and was able to meet our tight timeline. Arturo and crew showed up on the dot and promptly began working. They completed the work while I was gone at work, but my boyfriend sent photos....they looked good, but when I got home: WHAT. A. TRANSFORMATION!!! The trees look amazing and the clean up equally as awesome. Absolutely will use them again as well as refer family and friends.

He showed up on time, and performed the service on the spot. I would recommend them to others as well as use them again in the future.

Arturo Lopez was extremely efficient and professional. He and his crew cut-down and removed a very large tree and removed a large dead branch from another tree in approximately one hour. They worked very quickly, left the property clean, and made sure there was no debris on the neighbor's property. The price was very reasonable for the work done. I recommend the company without reservation.

Arturo came over to give me a quote. He was very knowledgeable about which trees were delicate and how to take care of each tree. He was very good at explaining the needs of each tree and he never seemed rushed. We got a few other quotes and were most impressed by Arturo. When it came to tree trimming day, he and his crew arrived at 7 am and got started right away. His father was there, which I really liked because he told me they were a family business and he really meant it! They worked until around 4 - 4:30, and they did a beautiful job. Nothing seemed drastic or severe but everything seemed neat and lovely. He brought out the beauty in our trees. They cleaned up all the debris and were very careful about our plants and getting the debris around our cars. We'll be calling Arturo again this winter to take care of the pines and the walnut.

It took a while to get this scheduled and done, but in the end it all turned out good. I have used Arturo's services three times now and continue to recommend.

I had obtained 3 individual bids from 3 companies for tree removal from my property that entailed 3 very large pines, and 1 ash tree with a stump grind. Lopez Tree Service, by far, had the best price. Arturo and his team showed up on time early in the morning, and worked almost non stop until the early evening until all trees/debris was completely removed from my property. Both he and his team were extremely professional, hard working, and in my opinion, did a fantastic job. The surrounding areas, including my immediate neighbor's driveway, were swept clean so as to eliminate any mess. I wouldn't use any other service going forward, in fact, I've already recommended he and his team to a number of my friends and colleagues in the LA area. A job well done.

Everything went very well. They cleaned up well. All the technicians were pleasant and the price was fair.

Anthony came on time for the estimate. His estimate was $250.00 lower than another tree service I had been using. He was very thorough and examined the site completely. He looked all around the yard to determine any obstacles or problems. He told me he would call me to confirm the schedule I wanted. He did explain that he might not be able to schedule it on the date and time I wanted because it depended on other jobs that were already lined up for my date. He promptly called back the following day as promised. The crew came on time and Anthony came with them. He had told me either he or his father would come with the crew as they did not have the crew work without one of them to make sure everything went well. The crew began working and cleaning. When they finished all of the debris was cleaned up and taken away. Anthony asked me to look over the job and told me he would not accept payment unless I was thoroughly satisfied. Even though I had many plants below the cypress trees there were no casualties, all the plants were intact without damage. The entire process went smoothly and without any glitches.
