A thorough and expert assessment of the the trees upfront to produce an estimate. Work on about a dozen trees of different types from palms to aspens all performed on a timely basis and exactly as contracted.

They worked very hard for a week. They were very cautious, not only because of the nature of the job, but they took care not to cause any damage around the place. They removed all the garbage. They know their job very well.

Didn't use them since they didn't call back. So I picked someone else who called back and came to estimate.

I got an estimate within days of contacting the company and had trees removed and/or trimmed a few days later. Arturo Jr. provided a written estimate on site, which I immediately signed. He impressed me with his knowledge of tree names (common and scientific) and his candid advice ("Beautiful tree, but growing in the wrong place"). On the day the work was done he arrived promptly (7 AM) to supervise his team. When I returned home later that day all debris had been removed and nothing on my property was damaged. I mailed him a check for the full amount due the following day.

Mr. Lopez was responsive to our situation, annual L.A.County Fire Inspection.Our home has many oak trees which grow and end up overhanging our roof, a No-No with the LACFD. Mr. Lopez's crew showed up on Wednesday the 6th of June and trimmed the trees perfectly and stacked the firewood. They cleaned up our yard and left in brushless. His firm will be the only one that I call next year!

We had two overgrown junipers that were overwhelming the front of our home. Arturo came out promptly to give an estimate. He is a warm, professional first contact who painstakingly made sure HE understood what we wanted and that WE understood what realistically could be done. The crew came out a few days later to do the work. They were also prompt and professional. The four man crew spent over two hours pruning our trees. They did not come and do a chop job - the trees look healthy and fabulous. Other than the obvious change in the trees, we couldn't even tell they had been here. They cleaned up nicely and took everything away. We wholeheartedly recommend them and would use them again.

I called Lopez Tree Service during business hours. My call went to voice mail. I left a clear message with my name and phone number and said I wanted an estimate for some tree work. This was over a month ago and no one ever called me back. I suspect no one called me back because I mentioned the city in which I live which, I am guessing, is slightly outside of their normal service area. A company with professionalism would have called me to tell me that I am outside their service area instead of leaving me in the dark. I think it tells a lot about a company to see how they treat someone from whom they don't expect to make a profit.

The experience was great from start to finish. We initially planned to trim just one tree leaning up against our house, but then when Arturo came by to give us estimate, I asked him if he thought we should trim any of our other trees. He walked around our yard with me and explained what type of tree each is and which ones should also be trimmed and why. On the day of the work, he and his crew showed up on time and did a great job. I could see them working very hard and safely. They also did a very thorough job cleaning up which was important to us since he needed access to our new next door neighbor's house for a couple trees that hung over into her yard. On the day of the work, I asked if he could clean off some debris on the roof of the patio and he included this at no extra charge. The trees look great and we tell a professional tree trimmer (arborist) did the work. We will definitely use them again the next time we need to have them trimmed or if we decide to do any other major work on our yard.

I'm incredibly impressed with Arturo and his team. They work quickly and efficiently. There's a strong respect and team-working component to what they do, as well. Arturo was great from the first meeting. His price was very reasonable and he was going to do the job in less time than other contractors. We originally had a day scheduled to complete the work, but had to reschedule due to rain. Arturo arrived early in the morning with his workers and the trucks. They got to work very quickly and I was surprised how fast they took down the first tree. Something worth noting is that I have a rose bed beneath a part of the second tree. While one worker was up in the tree with the chainsaw removing tree limbs, there was another person on the ground with a tool ensuring none of the falling branches killed a rose bush. They didn't know I was watching but they still took excellent care of my property. That meant a lot to me. I'm happy to write a glowing review for such an impressive company. Highly recommend.

He was on time. He came with a very reasonable estimate. He helped me save money and taught me how to make my yard look better. He just did a great job. He even did extra work without charging me. I am using him again.

It was rough to get a timely response on the phone but once we worked out when they were coming etc, things went very well. Arturo's men were professional and did good work. The reason Arturo was hard to get a hold of was because he's on site, overseeing everything. That he was here and was able to clarify everything and answer questions during the job, was great. I wouldn't pass up using this company because he didn't call back right away. Their work quality and clean up were very good. Watch for the branches scratching the side of your house as the guys walk them out to the street. I'm pretty sure the marks will come off but you want to make sure ahead of time to remind him the guys should be careful and make sure you review the clean up completely before they leave.

I liked their service because they were very efficient, and easy to work with. They were very nice, did an excellent job, and I will use them again if I have to.

Took a chance on an Angie's List Big Deal from Lopez Tree Service - $199 for $400 worth of trimming. Arturo came out to give us an estimate, and thoroughly explained the services he felt the trees needed. When we finally scheduled the service, his crew was on time, did a fantastic job, and cleaned up everything. They even threw in a quick trim on some palm fronds from a neighboring yard that were blocking the sunlight. Price-wise, they were right in line with other tree trimming services we've used. Not the cheapest, but not outrageous either, and they seem to really care about doing the job right, with the health and longevity of the trees in mind at all times. Overall a terrific experience with an experienced service provider. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and we will definitely use them again.

Arturo Lopez was extremely professional. He is a certified arborist, very knowledgeable about trees and dedicated to proper pruning. He loves what he does and it shows. He or his father work on every job they have. I engaged him in late November, a day or two before the windstorms hit Southern California. After that horrendous storm he became buried with other more crucial jobs and just resurfaced. I'm so glad I waited for him. His work was of the very highest quality. His men climbed to the top of my towering eucalyptus hanging many, many feet off the ground, and laced it beautifully, carefully carrying the branches and clippings on narrow walkways around my pool to the front yard. They also did a beautiful job on the golden rain and other trees. All was clean and pristine when they left. I can't say enough good things about him. He is busy, of course, but his prices are very competitive and I'm convinced he does the best job.

I received a 'big deal' email for Lopez tree service on angies list. I compared their retail quote, plan and demeanor with two other companies, decided to use Lopez, and applied the discount once the job was finished. The only glitch was that since, on the original quote, two items were listed with a discounted price I was told that these amounts would not be eligible for the 'big deal' discount, resulting in paying $110 more than I had planned. Nevertheless I was more than satisfied with the price and performance of Lopez Tree Service.

Over a three-week period recently, I have called Lopez Tree Service twice, leaving substantive messages that I was calling to get a bid for tree trimming, and giving them both my home and cell phone numbers. I also sent them an email message to that effect, using the email link provided in their website. No one from Lopez Tree Service has contacted me, and it's been at least three weeks since my initial call. I know the reviews for this company are good, but I, for one, will not use them if they won't even extend me the courtesy of returning my calls or email.

Arturo and his team were professional and efficient. He impressed me with his knowledge of the quirks of our hillside landscape and his detailed understanding of how to correctly prune our trees. They came on time, did the job, and immaculately cleaned up after. it was a pleasure to work with Lopez Tree Service and I plan to do it again.

Arturo came to the house to conduct a thorough walk-through of the property with me, assessing the health of all of our trees and shrubs on 1/2 acre. As I expected, one large pepper tree needed to be removed along with several small trees and several oleanders suffering from a blight. As we walked the yard, it was clear to me that Arturo knows his stuff. He is the second generation of his family to run the business and he's got a great handle on the many species of trees commonly planted in the Altadena and Pasadena area. After completing a detailed proposal that included costs for each stage of the job, we agreed to the work described above. On the schedule day, he and his crew arrived promptly at 7:30 a.m. and didn't waste any time getting to work. Having removed the sick trees, they then ground the stumps to the point where it's hard to imagine the trees ever having been there. Finally, they did a great job of cleaning up. Aside from the dust that you'd expect from this sort of operation, the yard was pristine. Since the work was completed, Arturo has been available to talk about replacement options for the trees we removed and I really appreciate his insights.

I consider Lopez Tree Service to be very unprofessional and would not recomment them.
