I give this company an A+! A few years ago, our cat got stuck in our tallest Cypress tree (much taller than the house) and he stayed in the tree overnight. We called the fire department and other tree services but no one could help us. Then I tried Lopez Tree Service. Arturo came out within 1/2 hour of when I called with another worker and they saved our cat! I have never forgotten that and called them again recently to do some tree removal. He gave me an estimate and removed the trees the same day! It was a big job but they were careful, watched out for our cats, and cleaned up thoroughly. I will never use anyone else. Thank you!

The challenges of the job were the small corridor space to get the small grinder in the backyard were the pepper tree was. This tree was not only old but rotten inside. Some tree branches were on the neighbors property. We have a rose garden and a vegetable garden that are precious to us and were afraid they would not be careful enough with it. Lopez got there on time at 7 am with his crew of 6 people, including his dad. The pepper tree was removed and they grinned the stump to ground level. The chinese elms had never been pruned and they did a great job, Lopez is knowledgable and I think he's truly interested on the trees and plants. I asked them that, if they had time, to cut a few branches from another tree that were over the ceiling of the house. They cut those branches and other that I didn't notice were on the ceiling. Also they were very careful in removing the branches on the neighbors property, with my plants and they finished before 12 pm. It was a great experience and I will call them back when I need other tree services.

I wanted to have an arborist evaluate the pepper tree to ensure its stability and both trees were in need of a good trimming.. I was very pleased with the finished product and the clean up was spectacular!!

They were very good, clean and quick, and to the point. They were very clean, neat workers. I was charged more because the job was much bigger. When they came here I just wanted a small task done, but it looked like they might be capable for a bigger job and I contracted them to go ahead and do it. It wasn't much more. They did it well. They are along the most expensive. I am very neurotic about my trees and they were very tolerant. They are absolutely first rate. They brought their own wood chippers, they swept up, they cleaned up and they were done one, two, three.

Services performed as discussed on time with no problems. Arturo is very smart and thorough. He and his father have been on site and worked the entire job both times I hired them. Fairly priced, will def use them again.

After telling Arturo what I needed done, he fully explained the process he would use and why it would be beneficial for the general health of the tree. He was informative, enthusiastic, and professional, and he provided a very reasonable price. He and his crew (two men) came at the agreed time, worked continuously for over three hours, and provided excellent clean-up. All work was performed under Arturo's direction and he worked right along with the crew. I'm very happy with the results and would use Lopez Tree Service again. I would also recommend them to family and friends. I did rate them a bit low on responsiveness as there were some occasions when he didn't respond to my calls to set up appointments. I have seen other reviewers also cite this as a concern. However, I'm glad I stuck with him as the final results were excellent.

Arturo and his crew arrived at 7am and were we're extremely focused on the task. They worked efficiently and safely. I'm pleased with their work. I would use them again.

His quality was excellent. He had been recommended to me by a local nursery. I thought his price was a bit high for the time it took him but I agreed to the price since I had not used him before and I wanted someone who would do an excellent job. We have tried several other pruners in the past who did a terrible work. My biggest complaint initially was that I had to call Lopez a half dozen times or more before he finally came out and gave me a price. This year I called him again - same responsiveness problem - I ended up calling at least 8 times before he came out and gave me a new price since I wanted him to repeat the same work and do some additional work. His new quote was exorbitant so I did not use him again.

They were excellent. They did a really good job. It was a good price; it was a medium price. They were punctual and they did it on time, like they said. They did it on schedule and exactly the way they said they would. They were very friendly and responsive to my questions. They were sort of like botanists so they were professional and knowledgeable. They didn't make a mess and they left everything in order. I would recommend them and I would absolutely use them again.

Arturo and his crew came on time, finished everything in one day, and left everything very clean. They were very professional and attentive to my requests. In particular, they took great precaution to prevent falling branches to destroy the vegetation and anything else on the ground. Next time I need my trees to be trimmed, I will call Arturo again.

I couldn't have been more pleased with his knowledge and courtesy. The trees were beautiful when he finished. He also clipped some dead branches from another tree without an extra charge. I would highly recommend his services.

Last year, Arturo & I had discussed his returning to finish more of the all day work his company started in our yards. This year, I could never reach a live person nor get a useful response back. Last year, I gave his company an excellent referral on Angie's list . This year, I left 3 specific messages, each at least one week apart, explaining that we needed his services very soon due to worsening problems with 3 of the large treated or discussed for treatment (he'd said not yet) trees in the back yard.. Example: Several large tree branches were drooping on the upset neighbor's roof. Last year, I felt mostly heard. This year, nobody must have listened to the content of my messages. The only time I received any phone messages back was the specific time I'd stated that I'd be unable to answer due to surgery. I called as soon as possible afterwards and got no responses to my messages.

Arturo and his crew were great-- responsive, prompt, knowledgeable, professional and reasonably priced. I have recommended them to all my friends and neighbors.

This is the third tree service I have used through Angie's List. Not only is Lopez Tree Service way better than the other two, but this is the best tree service I've ever used since becoming a homeowner in 1990. I don't like slamming contractors unless they to a really bad job, but one of the others hacked my palm trees and the second, though professional, didn't do what I asked for three months ago, which is why I needed to hire another tree company now. Lopez Tree Service is family run. I received a call back immediately from Arturo, who is a certified arborist (which is key if you don't want your trees potentially permanantly ruined by a bad trim job). He really knows his stuff, is super professional, amiable, and gave me a great price for the job. I can't recommend this company highly enough. Actually this is one of the best Angie's List experiences I've had hiring any company in LA.

Arturo, who along with his father own the company, came out to our house to inspect the job and give us a quote. The price that he gave us was excellent and the service and clean-up were outstanding. If anyone ever asks me for a recommendation for tree service I would highly recommend Arturo and his crew without hesitation. Awesome job!!

The guys from Lopez Tree Service were very fast with the job. They cleaned up and the tree is nice and trimmed. The way that they did the trimming was exactly how we wanted it. They did a really good job and I would absolutely hire them again. He was very responsive.

Brought everything up to code in a single day. Incredibly professional. The trees looked beautiful after they were done with them (I was so worried they would look sparse, but now they just looked well shaped and not as wild.) I would definitely work with them again. It was a huge job and we had a very short timeline from our insurance company to get everything done.

We chose them because they were very knowledgeable about our trees. And we were told during the estimate that the pruning of our trees should be conservative, that over-pruning isn't good for a tree. We've seen a lot of over-pruning in the past, and our trees mean a lot to us. Their work was very professional. We will use them again.
