I wanted to put raingutters on my house in preparation for El Nino.  I contacted a number of installers through Angieslist to request estimates.  Ryan, the owner of All Star, was the first to respond (same day), provide a ballpark dollar amount, and schedule a day to come out for an estimate.  I heard from the other installers that they are very backed up on estimates and installs, up to several months.  One other installer looked up my address (a satellite image or something) and was able to determine the measurements and provide a quote (which was several hundred dollars higher than All Star).  Ryan came out for the scheduled estimate, a couple weeks after the initial communication.  He measured the roof and gave me a quote.  He took the time to answer my questions about gutters and rain barrels, very helpful and easy to talk to.  We decided to go with Ryan, selected the gutter and downspout colors, and he ordered the materials.  He was able to do the install three weeks after the estimate.  He started at 9 am and the job took about six hours.  He did the entire job himself.  We had 230 feet of gutter and four downspouts installed.  I had some idea of where I wanted the downspouts and rain barrels, but he was able to provide helpful guidance on this, and we ended up placing three of them in a different location than I had originally planned -- I'm happy with the final locations.  The quality of his work is superb, and the job looks beautiful.  My wife was also delighted with how it came out.  I decided I could handle the rain barrel installs myself, but Ryan offers this service for an additional cost.  
I wish all contractors I have worked with were as good as Ryan.  In addition to the great job he did with the gutters, while he was on the roof he noticed a strong smell of gas coming from one of the vent pipes and mentioned it to me.  I ended up calling SDG&E, who came out right away, and determined that a faulty valve on my furnace was leaking gas.  If Ryan had not brought this to my attention, it would definitely have been a long time before I discovered this, if ever.
Ryan's company does other types of work in addition to raingutters, and I would not hesitate to consider them for other future work.

Ryan was very responsive and professional to my request for a bid. Since he is in Alpine and we are in Encinitas, much of the initial contact was done through email and text, with me sending a few pictures and videos of areas that were obvious trouble spots. This gave him an idea of what he would be coming out to see. He found a reasonable time to come and look at the job in detail and determine parts that would be needed. From that I had a bid via email two days later.
Within another few days, he had his cleanout crew here. They used power washers to remove years of sediment from the gutters. As a bonus, they put the power washer on my garage door and a few of the walls and windows too. Bonus!
Ryan came out two days later to complete the repairs, thus giving the cleared gutters time to dry out. He arrived when he said he would, charged what he quoted, and was efficient and professional while he was here.
Everything positive in working with All-Star and Ryan. The exact opposite of when I tried to have this same work done by another firm.
I am keeping Ryan in my "definitely use again" and "DO recommend" list.

The whole process was so easy. Their office staff is very friendly and they scheduled an estimate the same week. Ryan the owner came out and explained the options and provided a written estimate with proof of insurance. Their price wasn't the cheapest, but all star was the only company to provide proof of insurance which I really liked. They showed up on time for install and we're done in less than two hours and cleaned up. Talking to Ryan I found out that he is also a building contractor and a real estate agent! I will be using him as my realtor early next year...thanks again! Highly recommend!!!

Very happy with the way they handled the appointment. I called and the got someone out to my home the  following day.  I was very please with the service and it works well. I would use them again in the future.

This company installed a rain gutter for me a couple of years ago. I wrote a 5-star review at the time. Recently I noticed that the bottom portion of the gutter had detached from the house. I called Ryan, the owner, to schedule a repair appointment. He was very responsive, got over here, and fixed the problem. Easy, quick, and at no charge. I highly recommend him.

Original gutters (steel) were in bad shape, had leaks . . . actually more leaks than "gutters".  Ryan and crew removed them so that the house could be painted.  After the painting was complete (4 months!), he and crew came and installed the new seamless 5" gutters. The original were 4" so the increase in size was appreciated in a storm that dumped a lot of rain which the new gutters were able to handle with ease.  

We chose a dark gray gutter that matches the house trim. In the front of the house, the gutters are again dark gray but with white down-spouts.  Overall, I am pleased with his work and attention to detail.  Would use them again with pleasure. 

Ryan, All Star rain gutters exceeded our expectations for customer service, quality of installation and product!  He was responsive, flexible and plan full when we discussed what we needed, and recommend several ways to cut the cost of the installation down.  Ryan was prompt and efficient when installing front and side rain gutters on our 100 year old Craftsman house in University Heights.  He used top quality parts, professionally installed and completely cleaned up the work site when finished.  One of our friends commented that the addition of the rain gutters actually improved the look of our house from the front and we agree, this was something we had not considered, but are delighted with.  We highly recommend Ryan and All Star and will be using him on future installations.  Thank you Angie?s for once again connecting us with the best!

Ryan was an A+ from our first meeting.  He was quick to respond, had a great price, and was pleasant to deal with.  He even set me up with another service provider that is working for me right now.  Oh, and then throw in how he helped me solve a problem with my new TV when his work was done!  I will definitely recommend him for installing rain gutters.

It loos nice. The workmanship looked good. It went fine, I'm pleased with the installation, I'm happy with the way it looks and the materials that they used were good quality. The guys looked like they knew what they were doing. They were punctual and they took about the same amount of time as they said it would take and they cleaned up the site well. I don't see how it's not going to work, I haven't really tested them but they're where it's supposed to be. I don't have any complaints about it. The price seemed reasonable.

Needed to install a new rain gutter on a patio roof.  It had to be tied into existing drains.  They arrived on time and completed the job quickly and accurately.  Price was as quoted.  Good Job

After reading many reviews through Angie's List.  I went with All Star Rain Gutters.    What a perfect choice,  Ryan is very professional, listens, took time to answer  endless questions, both in person and through Email and phone.  I was very impressed by how fast he called back. His crew came in and put up the gutters in one day.  Cleaned up the mess and were gone.  The gutters look and work great,  They were put in just before several large rain storms hit.   I now realize the difference between the gutters we bought at the "large fix-it-up stores" and professional grade gutters. Would I hire All Star Rain Gutters again? Absolutely without hesitation, Yes!   

The overall process was very pleasant.  I had some concerns about 5 inch versus 6 inch gutters, but decided to rely on Ryan's expertise.  The 6 inch gutters look great.  My neighbor was also quite pleased with the results.

I needed to reroute a downspout to take advantage of a drain which had
been buried and forgotten.  Ryan, who had done the original work,
special ordered the parts and got this done by Xmas as I had requested. 
As usual, all work done expertly.  I had forgotten to mark the drain
location, so the extension was a bit long, and Ryan kindly agreed to
come out and cut a bit off the extension without charge.  Great company and
easy to work with.  Very happy to have hired them twice.

Ryan came by on 11/21 to take a look at the new sunroom, to see what kind of gutter set-up would be required.
Since the sunroom roof is made of double-glazed transparent Polycarbonate with aircraft-grade aluminum frames (all around and between all 3-foot bays), whereas all three wall panels are floor-to-ceiling windows in Duraplex also with aluminum frames -  plus cassettes for the hideaway screens at the top of each bay, there was simply no place where standard gutter brackets could even be mounted. Thus Ryan had to be very creative in order to come up with a way to fasten the new gutter securely to such a structure.
The solution: straps attached to the roof frame at each bay, which [straps] are then attached to the hidden hangers 'inside' the one-piece gutter. A downspout was also installed at one end, so that the runoff can water the new flower bed / fruit tree patch next to the sunroom.
The whole process of designing the gutter system, giving me an estimate, ordering the parts and final installation took a total of 8 days - including the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The timing was impeccable, too, since no sooner had the gutter been installed on 11/29, than a big rainstorm hit the next day that immediately put the new gutter to the test! Which it passed with flying colors, of course.

They were on time, polite, thorough and did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

Ryan came to do an estimate when he said he would.  His price was fair and his work was excellent.  It was not a big job, but he treated it with professionalism and care.  He was prompt and responsive and courteous.  I would certainly use him again and recommend him without hesitation.
