Great experience. We were referred to Matt during our most recent home purchase. He lives/works in Aliso Viejo and proved his local expertise covers Aliso, RSM, and Mission Viejo. We assume he is equally familiar with most/all of the South OC housing market, but those were the cities we focused on. We really connected w/ Matt. Good guy and very easy going. He was very consultative as we looked at houses and ran through the pros & cons. When we finally pulled the trigger on a house, he was advocate from offer through closing. A good agent works hard for their money. Matt will discount his fees and give cash at close if you negotiate up front. Definitely ask. Thing about it: a 1% discount on a typical $700K OC house is $7K in your pocket. The seller pays commissions, so you'd either be getting 1% of your sale price back (if seller) or 1% of the seller's sales price in your pocket toward closing, etc (if buyer). Anyway, we recommend. Do yourself a favor and get a good independent agent who can give you cash back at close. Big real estate brokerages can't (or won't) do that. Their loss, your gain.
