That experience made me aware of what a wonderful experince having the vet come into the dogs home was a godsend. I was able to adopt a wonderful rescue dog, Allison. Dr. Castaneda came to the home with her traveling bag of tricks. She performed a complete exam, did the dreaded anal glands expression (Allison was found on the streets and had come from the shelter-last day) And Allison still loved her. She has placed Allison on a wellness regime, particularly focusing on preventative care for arthritis since Allison has already had to have surgery for a congentinal subluxed patella. I have been a resident of Downtown Los Angeles for many years and am thrilled to have Drs Casteneda and Flores join the area.

The veterinarians are very good and very compassionate. The staff is very friendly and the dogs like it.

The place is very clean and nice in every way. I've been going to them for over 10 years and always receive the best service. The staff is always wonderful. I absolutely love Dr. Fritz and Dr. Flores and all the doctors there and feel that they give your pet grade A, excellent services. They have a very helpful web site called the Pet Portal where you can email them for the price of specific services which they are also happy to give you on the phone or in person. Only down side - be prepared to wait as they do seem to overbook and get behind with emergencies.

Fit us in for an emergency visit for a 6 y.o. small dog. Super friendly and caring. Tests came out to be a little pricey, but I guess it's about normal for a vet.

We take our older dog monthly for shots to ease his arthritis discomfort. It has vastly improved the quality of his life. All the dogs don't have a problem going to see the vet because they are treated so well there. Dr. Fricks is very kind, but he is also very truthful so you don't waste your money. Like all vets these days, it can get a little pricey, but overall I would say we get a good value for our money. I highly recommend West Main Animal Hospital.
