Alhambra Computer Services/ Do Not Call

We dropped off both units on a Wed for the above problems.  Ben told us it would be ready by Friday which was good because according to his website, he doesn't work on the weekends or if he did, it would be an extra charge.  I called him Friday to ask what time I should come to p/u the units and he said he would call me back.  Long story short, he ended up not finishing with them until Sat and even on Sat, he could not give me a p/u time even though when I dropped them off, he assured me it would all be done by Friday.  I did not appreciate this.
As for the actual work done, Ben did repair the desktop.  Apparently it was virus ridden and he cleaned it all up.  He also made sure all drivers were present because the sound was not working either.  He put on another anti-virus program for us.  We are pretty happy with the work done on this unit.
The laptop according to Ben had a corrupted OS and to repair that, he would need to wipe the computer and reinstall the OS.  When I got there, he showed me that it's so corrupted that the computer would not load or start up.  He said that he had to show me a bypass so that it would load up and then I could access my data.  This was not the problem that I had when I brought it in and, in fact, Ben never addressed my blue screen issue.  He told me the way to fix this would be to have all my data taken off and then have it wiped clean and have a clean OS put on and then have the data put back for additional charges.  I would still need to install all my software back on again.
I feel like he made my computer worse than it was.  It was working just the hour before I dropped it off to him and after he touched it, I couldn't even get it to turn on.  This was more than slightly upsetting.  I don't know if he broke it or 'it was on its way out' as he said but I was very unhappy when I finally picked up the laptop.  I'm not sure if I would use him again but I hope I never need to again.

Before going to Alhambra Computers, I've taken my computer to other repair places but was not satisfied. They took too long repairing my computer and was not satisfied with the service. Thanks to Angie's List, I was able to find a very knowledgable person who can actually give me an accurate diagnosis. I was very happy I went to him. Very professional and kept me informed. If I have any problems in the future, I definitely will go back Alhambra Computer Services.

Benjamin turned the repair around in a week, most of which time was waiting for the ordered part. Everything was done as promised and he didn't charge for opening the laptop again when I asked for the battery replacement after the fan replacement was completed.

Benjamin had late hours so I could drop off the computer to him after work. He explained how he would fix it and suggested things to help speed up my computer use. It would take 3 days and it was ready as promised. It's hard to trust anyone with your computer but Benjamin is very professional. I have already recommended to my family and will use him again.

My laptop fan wasn't working for which I got them to come out and fix it for me. I found their prices reasonable and they were professional. They also came on time.

I took it to him on a Sunday. He diagnosed it and repaired it that same day. He is very affordable. He is also very responsive and friendly. I had no problems with my computer after he made the repairs.
