RAW CONCEPTS

We began talks with this company about creating plans for our home addition in 6/2005. After 5 months of waiting for completed and accurate plans, he did not have 50% of the requirements necessary for the city planners. We had several conversations with him during this time about changes to the plans that were never made and we received charges on invoices for the time it took him to correct his own mistakes and omissions. Although we eventually received the OK from the city for a bldg. permit, it continued to be a frustrating experience dealing with him and we ended up firing him, taking the plans he gave us to date and hoping they were suitable for construction. We come to find out via a structural engineer that key measurements were incorrect and drawings flawed with walls where doors should be etc. Basically we spent $5K to find out that an addition was not doable or cost effective for our home.
