Not well. They left a horrific mess behind. Used PRIVATE driveways to complete their work on the street and in the process damaged paving stones. I would not recommend this company. Take a look on other sites about their work. Rated poorly there as well.
Description of Work: The street here on Horizon Drive needs to have some work done.

We have repeatedly reassured this gentleman that we will take care of any mess on his driveway and/or property. We also advised him that the work on the private road is not completed. We are a professional company and we take complaints very seriously. This is a very large job, and we are doing our best to keep the homeowners/tenants happy. We will clean his driveway to his satisfaction. However, our reassurances do not seem to be enough at this point.

Dan, the owner came early for his appointment, a time I had scheduled for another asphalt contractor. He handed me his card and began discussing the job with me. No problem. Then the other contractor came and saw Dan. They knew each other. He decided to not take the job because of Dan's presence. When he left, Dan decided he didn't want the job either. Very unprofessional. I was clear with his company, as I always am with contractors, about the character of my street -- narrow and on a hill. According to his secretary he gave her this reason for walking away in the middle of our interview. But that was never an issue. I have never experienced this kind of unprofessional immaturity with any contractor. He ruined my chances with another contractor by not calling to ask if he could come early. And then he didn't care. Watch out for him. Other comments about him on Yelp agree with my experience.

I was early for our appointment. My bad. Larry, from S&S Paving, passed on the job due to it's small size and difficult access. It had nothing to do with my presence. I gave the client two recommendations to fix her drainage problems: either installing a small asphalt berm or a slight ramp to help control the water flow away from her garage. She stated in no uncertain terms that both of these recommendations were unacceptable. I have no idea why. At that point I didn't feel that I could be on any further service. I also felt, frankly, that this client was going to be VERY difficult to work with. At that point I decided to exit stage left. Apparently,she is now making it her mission to ruin my reputation on line. That's OK - I've been paving for over 35 years and am proud of my track record. I wish her well with asphalt and everything else.
