DONALD T.
May 2011
Contractor: Marble Works, #852553, Daniel Fernandez: Work left undone; promises made; contractor disappears. Daniel Fernandez of Marble Works, working as a sub-contractor on a kitchen remodel, left a ragged, ungrouted edge below the cabinet. He did not return to inspect his work or seal the backsplash. After I contacted the general contractor, Mr. Fernandez returned and promised to repair his work. He also noted that the seam between the counter top and backsplash was inadequate and promised to install a silicon seal. He then disappeared. After six weeks of waiting, I contacted the general contractor who quickly repaired the work. Mr. Fernandez still has not returned or contacted us. If you want someone who leaves work undone, makes promises, and then disappears, then Daniel Fernandez is your man. Donald Thomas, Thousand Oaks, California
