Made appointment.
Took vehicle in to shop; got estimate; left vehicle at shop. Promised later in the day. Taken to home by provider.
Stan called about 16:30 and said car ready. Picked up from home and taken to shop by provider.Car ready; price as estimated; paid for work.
Departed shop and went merrily on way.

Auto Service
My truck was running rough, so I took it into Yuma Automotive and Transmission for troubleshooting. They looked at it right away and had the equipment and knowledge to find the problem. It turned out to be a dirty mass flow sensor which they cleaned. The truck ran well afterwards. I give them high marks for competence and honesty.

The best man in town for automotive service is Mr. Stan Samala. First time I went there was 30 years ago for a problem I was having with my Cadillac engine and first that I noticed was that he has a man; all he does is keep the shop clean. You could eat off of his floor and all that guy does is just take care of the cleaning every day. He has a small shop and a small business, but he was trained by General Motors in the transmission department and he is excellent.

Auto Service, Appliance Repair
Following completion of the repair the engine ran well but within three days my daughter (who only drives a short distance each day) realized that the cooling fan was not working. She noted an oil leak from a hose which ran right across the cylinder head which had just been rebuilt.. The car sat at YAT for 3 WEEKS before YAT looked at it and called us back. They refused to take responsibility for failing to catch the fan issue before the reapir and took no responsibility for the leaking hose. They said that replacing the fan was going to be very expensive because it was so difficult to access and quoted us $900. to replace the fan and fix the leaking A/C hose. Replacing the fan would have been much easier (and cheaper) if they had done so when the cylinder head was out ot the car.
