WAGGIN' WEST KENNELS

The first couple of visits were okay - I wasn't too crazy about the way they trimmed by Havies' faces, but I didn't give them a picture, so I couldn't fault them.  The last time, one of my Havies came back with a skin rash - little blisters that looked like chicken pox.  Three out of the 4 dogs did not have even ears and required me to 'retrim' their faces.  
I first went there at there recommendation of the HSOY, and I wanted to support someone who supported HSOY.  But I am concerned about the age of the owners (very elderly) and if they are on top of things.  I called when Disney came up with the blisters, and the groomer said they've never had that happen before and they didn't change anything from the time before.  
On a personal note, they also have a boarding facility there which to me truly looks like doggy jail.  Since my dogs are puppy mill survivors, I am very concerned about their environment.  I don't think they were mistreated, but I really don't want my dogs to be reintroduced to that type of situation.

My dog is an older dog and Sherri took that into consideration and treated her well.

My standard poodle is 12 and half years old. Sherri did a very good job, and feel she treated my dog well and used extra care due to her age.

Very helpful and kind and caring. They made us feel good knowing our dogs would be well cared for. We Will definitely use them again.

My dogs were a little nervous when I took them in for the first time as I had always groomed them myself. They were not use to strangers. They looked absolutely beautiful when I came to pick them up. They were even giving the personnel kisses when we left. This tells me the dogs loved the owners and people working for them. I would not hesitate to take them back and I would definately reccomend anyone that needs dogs groomed or boarded to use this kennel. Everything was clean and everyone was very professional.
