VICTOR'S 1-STOP REMODELING

He said it would take 8 to 12 weeks. But I figured it would take around 16 to 20 weeks. They wanted to tear a big portion of my roof, remove the brand new AC and rip two complete rafters out to. Install to new ones. This would have cost the insurance company over $25,000.00. Plus they would have have to put on a complete roof do to the fact the new section would not match the old section of roof. Plus, they would have to redo the ceiling inside my home, because the drywall is nailed to the rafters. You can see why I did not want him to do the job. He wanted to reinvent the wheel instead of just repairing it. I think it was because he knew it was an insurance claim. Instead I have a drawing for repaired through an engineering company, a permit from the county, and have a lic. Framer do the work. Then the county will come and. Inspect and sign off. This cost will be about $1200.00 dollars. All legal and I will have a record should I decide to sell the house. The repair will take about 2 hours to do. The job, which is a lot shorter then 16 to 20 weeks.

I called them for two different jobs and he did one pretty good, he poured some concrete for me. On the second one he said he would do it and then in the end he never showed up and I never phoned him again. He was good when he poured concrete, he showed up and he had it done within two days. I called him again like three or four months later to do some work but he said he was busy and would do it in a couple of days. I never heard from him so I called him and he said he would be here next week but he never showed up. The second job was to lay a concrete pad for a barbeque. His price was okay.

Victor Roman is a friendly guy, but hard to pin down. When he came out to do the initial estimate, he told me it would cost and quot;about $1000and quot; including the air conditioner. I said, look, I'll get the air conditioner. But he left before I got an estimate for his work. I called his office several times to try to get an estimate, leaving messages with the receptionist, but never got a reply. At this point I probably should have gone to someone else but for some reason decided to let him do the work. His receptionist gave me his cell phone number, and once I had that I would call him directly. After some back and forth, we set the day for him to get the work done. So here's the deal: he comes out with a couple guys, they cut a hole in the wall, they put in the air conditioner, put a nice frame around it on the inside, all done. Took about two hours. But when I went outside after they were gone, and examined that area more carefully, I could see they had not sealed the interior of the wall, which has about 6 inches of interior space (where the insulation goes). No flashing, nothing to prevent water or critters from getting down in that wall. The hole was fairly tight, but there was still enough gap that it is not sealed against water intrusion. I paid $500 for this? I could have cut a hole in the wall and shoved an air conditioner in there. Now I have to get out there and figure out a way to seal that opening. I hired this guy because I wanted a professional to do this. Instead I got marginal work that I paid dearly for. Didn't even get a receipt for the work. Expensive lesson: get an estimate in writing, that includes an accurate description of the work to be done. Get more than one estimate. Shop around. Don't take the first offer unless you know enough to be sure you won't find anything better.

I was promised a call back but have not received one in the last 4 months. I would have considered it a professional courtesy if I received a call back to let me know that I should contact another contractor to do the work I needed done.

This is our 3rd major project with Victor and his crew. As always, they were all very professional. I needed my outdated kitchen updated. We had ceramic tile counters and the cabinets needed updating. Also updated all new stainless steel appliances. I challenged Victor to find a special granite for my new counter tops. As always, Victor came thru. I love me new Sedna Granite Counters. We replaced the entire old porcelain tile with updated travertine porcelain tile. Victor brought in his cabinet maker and installed all new cabinets with pull outs. He increased the size of my kitchen and added new lights in the ceiling. He also painted everything except the bedrooms. The entire project took only 3 weeks and Victor worked with us to allow us to stay in our house during the entire project. I love my new updated house. Now I no longer dream of moving to a new house...I have my dream house. Will hire Victor again for more updates.

It didn't go at all. The receptionist told me that they would call me to set up a time to do an evaluation and provide a quote. I called about a week later to see what the hold up was and she told me they were waiting to get enough requests in the area so they could do them together to save on fuel cost. I was understanding and too this date I haven't heard from them. I felt that they felt the job was to small and they didn't want to bother.

Had to have them remove several tiles and replace. Carpet was laid so poorly that it could not be stretched smoothly. They did not seal cracks in the foundation; just layed the carpet down.

Excellent work. All work was done in two days, no issues with anything.

Victor did a great job. Some small details that I would have changed but the final product is beautiful. He was always there if we had questions ofr changes. He was quick to complete the job and kept us informed as things progressed.

We very much like Victor, the owner of Victor's 1-Stop Remodeling. But he uses a lot of subcontractors, and he did not supervise them and they did very poor quality work. Unfortunately, we had the work done in a different state and he was supposed to be overseeing the work that was being done. Apparently, he was not overseeing it. Or if he was, he wasn't paying very close attention, because we had to redo several different things. If he would have provided the work he was supposed to have provided, the price was okay. But he didn't. It was not good work.

In summary, Victor no longer does quality and timely work and leaves worksite a mess!

Very Bad.

I have absolutely no complaints. I LOVE MY GIRLCAVE! These guys worked very hard; were incredibly thoughtful and courteous; and, listened to me as I had to work through notes, at times, since I was working. Which brings up another topic: I trusted them to be in my home without me there--totally trusted him and his crew.

Our floor laminate random length floor was installed with the seams running straight across. There was no random pattern at all. We had to have them take it up and replace it. The Kitchen cabinets were the wrong color,they had to paint them. So many things had to be redone because they tried to cut corners.

Excellent, Outstanding, Timely.

We had used Roman's Tile many years before to purchase tile so I stopped by their showroom to discuss or plan. Both Victor and Rose Ann were very nice and we scheduled a walk-thru for an estimate. Victor showed up on time for the estimate, a plus in this business! I went back to his showroom and picked out material the same day. He gave us an estimate that I thought was fair so we scheduled the work to be completed during Christmas, since I was work for three weeks. He said it would take about three weeks to complete and he did it on time, another plus!!! The workers showed up on time and were very professional. Victor came every day and on most days, did some of the work also. He is a great tile guy! The crew always cleaned up after each day. Victor only uses very quality material. You may be able to get the job done cheaper, but just remember, you get what you pay for. We are very pleased with our new bathrooms and bedroom and will definitely use Victor again for any remodel project we have.

Our toilet had overflowed and flooded a good part of the house. Victor worked around my schedule in order to rip out the bathroom, install a new sewer pipe; and, pretty much redo the bathroom from scratch. He also put in all of our flooring which had been ruined in the flood. The biggest thing, for me, was during part of the remodel, I was in a lot of pain with my back, and the guys made sure that I had a bed to sleep in which wasn't an easy feat to accomplish--they didn't have to do this, but this gives you an idea of what kind of people they are to work with. I recommend them to everyone! They have treated me with nothing but respect; and, I will keep them on my 'speed dial' whenever I need help. Victor has gone above and beyond when called; and, has accomplished jobs at my home which I were told were impossible--i.e. putting in a water softening system. I love LOVE LOVE them!
