IRONWOOD VETERINARY CLINIC

I am very happy to have Dr. Valerie Culpepper as my pets' veterinarian.  The office got me in the same day with my mysteriously sick cat who is also very uncooperative with vet visits.  She commanded the exam with my tantrum throwing cat, kept the stress level to a minimum, and ruled out several possibilities for my cat's distress.  She prescribed treatment tailored for my cat's temperament and needs.  Dr. Culpepper is a competent, pragmatic, caring, and professional person.  The support staff are also compassionate and professional.  I will go to Ironwood Vet Clinic for all of my pets' needs.

Dr Sandigo is an amazing vet. He is extremely calm and earned the trust of my 102 pound Rottweiller quickly. We have been going to Ironwood Vet clinic for years and have never had a bad experience. Dr Sandigo is very knowledgeable and his staff is excellent.

The fee was for additional medicine. They remember my dog, which I like, even though it was 6-months since the last visit.

Got exam and shot

We have trusted all our pets to Dr. Stack, she is knowledgeable, compassionate yet very practical. She spends time with you and explains all your options. One of my dogs got very grouchy when she got old but Dr. Stack was always able to calm and comfort her. When we had to put our beloved dog to sleep, she was very sympathetic and gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes.
Front office help isn't always the best and sometimes you have to wait a long time (during the winter time), but as long as Dr. Stack is there-- they have my business.

Do not go there

I have been going to this vet for at least 15 years. The last year in my
opinion they have not been up to par. I that the vets in ironwood are
only there for the money and how much they can get from you.The staff
otherwise are the nicest people around. To bad greed has spoiled the
vets.

They ALWAYS check my dogs health even if we are just there for a vaccination. Called in a Vet on a weekend when I had a very sick dog. Dr. Stack save my little dogs life that day. She would have died had we gotten her there an hour later. Theis clinic is the very best!

I called Ironwood to make an appointment for my new puppy to get her rabies shot. The receptionist I was speaking to was being extremely rude during the whole phone call. She had a snappy answer to every question I asked and was acting completely unprofessional. She kept sighing and seemed to be annoyed by everything. I had been to Ironwood before that with my other dog, and never really had a problem with them except on one of my other visits, the examination room was very dirty. There were drops of blood on the floor and animal hair caked in between the wall and examination table. I had considered going to another vet after that, but then they remodeled so I figured things would be cleaner. And they were. But after the horrible attitude during the phone call, I called around and took my puppy elsewhere.

Everything has always gone well when using this Vet clinic. From vacinations, illnesses and boarding.

Everything went extremely well.

Our son's (who is visiting from Calif) dog, Dude, was hit by a car and left for dead. We put posters up, advertised, offered cash rewards. As luck would have it, a farm worker found him in a pasture north of our home trying to get back home but could not navigate the irrigation ditch. Immediately we rushed him to a vet that had been recommended to us. (Arizona West Vet. Dr. A. Carvel). This vet would not render service until payment had been was received up front. She took xrays and recommended surgery in either Tucson or San Diego. Additionally, when asked if the leg could be rebroken for a clean break and then casted she accused our son of animal cruelty and almost didn't let him take Dude home. We told our son to take his dog to Dr. E. Sandigo at Ironwood Vet. The care was much different! Dr. Sandigo never mentioned payment and was much more concerned about the animal instead of the money. Dude was operated on and is currently undergoing follow up visitations 2 x / week. He is healthy and well taken care of. Dr. Sandigo was compassionate, kind and extremely knowledgeable! We were able to ask him the same question and several others and not once did he jump to the conclusion of animal cruelty. He knew we were asking out of concern and did a wonderful job of explaining to us what was needed to help Dude get better. The front office showed our son how to apply for credit so that Dude's bills would be manageable and they never made him feel bad. All the techs are kind, happy and welcoming. The staff is amazing. And Dr. E SANDIGO is the BEST VET in ARIZONA in our opinion! We refer to him as the dog whisperer!
