Overall, not too bad. I've used Ernie's service before and will use him again. However, there were a few problems this time.
1. It was hard to get on the scheule, and he called once to ask if someone else could do the work. When I said no, we wanted him, he came out on a Sunday (which he does not normally do).
2. The acid wash appeared to go fine, but afterwards the spa water had extremely elevated levels of chlorine. When I called to ask about this, their response was I could either drain some water out of the pool, add chemicals to lower the chlorine, or wait until sunlight did the job. Draining water would have added cost for renting a pump and the cost of the replacement water. Adding chlorine reducer would have added cost for the chemicals but also would have affected the PH of the water, requiring further adjustment. We opted to let sunlight do the job, but it was nearly a month before we were able to use the spa again.
3. The spa light was fine.
4. The caulking around the inside edge of the spa went fine but he neglected to caulk numerous cracks in the masonry edges. Perhaps I should have been more explicit - but, he was right there, had the caulk, and I assumed he would caulk those cracks as he went around.
5. He did not clean the calcium buildup from the intake port as asked.
Most unacceptable was the loss of use of the spa for nearly a month after the wash, and this is the reason for the C rating for Quality. But I would still use Ernie again.

When we hired him, he had just started his Pool Serv. He completely took over and got everything going smooth. Everyone in our Association is very, very pleased with how he has kept the pool and spa in such good condition. I have raised his fee twice in 2 yrs without a request from him, as we don't want to lose him. I give him an A+ if you had that on your rating.

He's dependable, efficient and reasonably priced. The best we've found in the 8 years we've been in Yuma.

I hired Ernie after having trouble with another pool service. I happy to say I am shocked at the difference in service for the same price. Ernie is very professional and knowledgeable about pools. He services the pools himself and takes his work seriously. It is also obvious that he truly enjoys his work. He and his hard working assistant Jeanette have done an amazing turn-around in the quality of my pool. I noticed the difference after the very first appointment and it looks GREAT now!! Also, I like knowing exactly who has access to my property and feel so safe with Ernie and Jeanette that I often leave my house open during my appointments and will even pop out to say hello. :-) I have found Ernie to be honest, fair, and friendly and I'm so happy with my pool since beginning service with his company!

He has been great since day one. If you are looking for a guy for your pool service, this is your man.

This is a great company. Ernie knows everything about taking care of all your pool needs. Great prices, and will not overcharge you on your pool chemicals. I very highly recommend this company to everybody that is looking for a responsible pool servic.
