BIG O TIRES

When I arrived, they again said the repair would take approximately 30 minutes.  After 1 hour 15 minutes in their waiting room, my vehicle had not moved.  When queried, the woman behind the counter snapped "Their are others waiting, you'll just have to wait your turn."  At 1hr. 30 minutes, they moved my vehicle into their shop.  Shortly thereafter, they called me to look at the tire.  She refused to repair a very small nail puncture in the center of the tread because the sidewall was weather cracked.  I questioned warranty, as I purchased all their additional coverage when I purchased the tire.  The same woman belligerently snapped "There is no warranty, the tire is worn out, It is near the wear indicators".  The wear indicators were visible, but had tread remaining above every one of them.
Because of her rude belligerence, I resolved to never darken the door of a Big O tire dealer again.  They re-inflated and re-installed my tire which I took it to an independent tire shop for repair.  When this tire wears to the indicators, I will purchase a new one from a reputable dealer.
Anyone seeking good honest service should avoid Big O Tires in general, and the store on Pacific Avenue in Yuma, Arizona at all cost.

Provider price-matched the tires for Pep-Boys, then scheduled for me to come in and get the front 2 tires changed. I got there and the manager who quoted me 45 min earlier wasn't there as promised when I arrived. After waiting 45 minutes, he finally arrived. He asked for the keys and half an hour later, he returned the keys and told me the price wasn't 135, but instead it would be over $400! He explained that I would now have to replace all 4 tires to get the deal because it wouldn't be safe to change only 2. The other 2 tires were only 1 month old, as I had changed them the month prior at Discount Tire Co. He then explained that there was nothing more I could do because they had already changed all the tires and it would be a liability to put my original tires back on and they would be liable for any damages, which wasn't a risk he was willing to take. Then, he went to help another customer while I decided what my next move was. While he was with another customer, I went outside and asked another employee what could be done at this point. He let me know that he was headed up the road to pick up the other 2 tires and that only the front 2 had been changed. I was being forced an up-sale of 2 tires! This was the most absurd experience ever and the worst fail at attempting to squeeze money out of me. I will never go back to these guys again, they are con artists!

Replaced four worn tires

They were very honest with you about what was wrong with your car.

I was more than pleased with them. They do good, fast work. They are cordial and they are nice people to work with. I checked around for prices and they were comparable.

I originally went in the day before for the alignment. Unfortunately I had some worn parts that needed replacing. The estimate was over $600 to replace the parts and do the alignment. I couldn't afford to have the work done so I replaced the parts my self for less than $200. Which by the way were really worn. Then I had Big O do the alignment. I was very happy with their service and honesty.

I thought that my breaks were going bad, so I called a few places and Big O happened to be the only one that could fit me in for a free estimate and evaluation. One of the mechanics drove the vehicle and removed all 4 tires for a complete inspection. It didn't need breaks but for my safety the front end needed new control arms, ball joints and sway bars. He invited me to take a look for myself and showed me the huge movement and wear. Over the next few days I received 3 other quotes. One guy said that he couldn't touch the price and to go, the other gave me a quote for $11,00 and a 3rd said they could do it for $925 but I needed to have it put on the lift for an accurate quote. After the mechanic inspected it, I was told that I needed shocks and tie rods as well, which would bring the cost to $1,400. I took the car back to Big O to see if they missed those things. They immediately lifted the car and showed me why my shocks and tie rods were still good. I said that I would give them a try when I got paid. They said just give them 24hrs notice for the parts to arrive. I called Friday around 10 and said that I wanted an appt for Saturday and they said that they could do it today, if I brought them the vehicle. I said I needed to wait for a ride home and they said they'd bring me home. I dropped the explorer off and received a courteous ride home. They finished the work by 3pm and it handled like a brand new car. Also, the quote is the price you pay not more! I'm new to Yuma and will take all my vehicles to Big O for repairs.
