ARTURO'S LANDSCAPING LLC

Responded promptly to my call. Showed up when he said he would. Trimmed all trees and bushes, removed unwanted grass from around trees, repaired irrigation front & back yard, cleaned up gravel areas & raked. Took no money until they finished and we were satisfied.

Landscape was done very nicely and exceeded expectations.

He and his team were true professionals. They arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were finished prior to the date we were given. Highly impressed and I have recommended to many friends.

I had heard of the contractor who had been used as a sub on a project by someone on Angie's List. All of the comments were good. I contacted the company and they came out to give an estimate. During his visit I explained that I wanted the 12x12' area rototilled, raked, seed spread, and a top cover applied. He explained that he does not rototill, but he rakes the ground to loosen the soil. He explained that is the common thing to do. I had spent the summer killing the grass and weeds in the area so there wasn't much on the ground but bare dirt. Two day later I came home from work and the job was completed. Basically, all that was done was the grass was mixed with manure and applied to the ground. The ground had not been raked and a top covering had not been applied as he had agreed to. I went to the store, purchased five bags of ground cover and applied it myself. For this, his price remained the same. I was truly disappointed with his service.

Overall I am fairly happy. Mostly pros (can't list them all) and just a few cons.
Pros:
- We were on a deadline, and Arturo delivered. His crew was punctual and he came across as a good manager.
- Everything came out exactly as we had asked, and Arturo was very responsive and reasonable when we asked for a few changes.
- Arturo provided the lowest estimate, by far.
Cons:
- His sprinkler setup was not optimized for our yard. Lots of sprinklers around the edges, just one in the center. This would have probably been ok if he had compensated by installing different nozzles at the various sprinkler heads (all of the nozzles were 5 gpm). But what ended up happening was that my edges were over-watered while the center of my lawn was dying, until I ordered some new nozzles and evened up the flow.
- When Arturo came by to give us our estimate, he ended up going to the wrong house (not a problem in and of itself). He didn't call, even though we were waiting for him. When my wife called him after a while, he insisted that we weren't home, despite her telling him otherwise. Only mark on his otherwise very professional job.

We called Arturo's to have them do landscaping curbing in the front yard. They were referred to us by someone I work with who gave excellent reviews. We called them on a Monday and on Thursday they showed up on time, completed the work, cleaned up, and left. The curbing looks beautiful and we would definitely use their services again.
