ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this company. My wife and I had our entire house remodeled except for the bathrooms. We were told General Contractor DK would assist us through each phase of the remodel and make sure we were satisfied as each stage was completed. This couldn't be further from the truth. The demo workers needed to borrow tools. They didn't even have a broom to clean up. DK didn't have his guys put plastic up to protect appliances and prevent dust from spreading throughout the house. My wife and I had to cover things ourselves. When I approached DK with my concerns he stated "What do you expect, I don't think they have college degrees". The countertops were not put in correctly. They were not level and had support bars hanging loose under the island. DK stated there wasn't anything he could do about it. My wife was upset and sent him a text expressing our concern and DK did not reply. A fabricator was finally brought in and he verified that DK was incorrect and he instructed DK on how to correct the problem. When the painter was fixing drips and uneven lines in the house, DK arrived and I could hear him telling the painter not to fix things because it's not their responsibility and that the house had probably been painted twenty times. We are original owners and it's been painted twice. Fortunately the painter ignored DK and ensured his work was to our satisfaction. During the baseboard phase the baseboard was four inches on one side of the house and 2 and a half inches on the other. I phoned DK and he was upset with me and rude that I pointed this out. I sent him pictures and he didn't reply. He did not even show up the next day after telling me he would be there first thing in the morning. I had to work with the installer correcting things myself. DK told us the floor tile job would take 6 days and when it took 4 weeks he blamed his workers whom he called "prima donnas". He even had the nerve to blame my wife and I, telling us not to talk to the workers. They are in our house doing a job we paid for and we are being told who we can or cannot talk to? This unacceptable behavior continued. DK ignored texts. He didn't return phone calls. He didn't show up or call when he missed scheduled appointments. He was obviously overwhelmed. DK would enter our house without knocking and walk right by my wife and I without even acknowledging us. DK rarely showed up and when he did he berated his employees, his suppliers, and even the owner who he called "forgetful". When I complained to the owner he told me that DK had a toothache. When my wife discussed issues with the owner he admitted DK crossed the line but he didn't offer an apology. After finally having enough of the unprofessionalism, I told the owner that I didn't want DK in our home. DK insulted myself, my wife and our remodel. This company forgot who the customer was immediately. Extremely disappointed.

They were fantastic. The service personnel were wonderful. They helped us in the selection of all the new materials.

Hello prospective buyer,
My name is TJ Myres and I am a co-founder of Palmer's Kitchen Bath and Beyond, LLC. For several years, I was the general contractor and builder for this company and my partner carried the bulk of sales as he ran another company - a plumbing company. Earlier this year, my partner began to make fatal decisions without me and in due time he made mistakes that were severely costly to the company as a whole. In choosing to do so he broke the code of integrity and ethics and therefore I had to remove myself as the qualified party for the company for fear of personal liability.
Now during the first 2.5 years of the company we had only 2 complaints out of nearly 600 clients and both claims were dropped or resolved. I pride myself on service above all and the proof is shown in our client history. However, since my partners change in direction, the company has suffered 5 complaints, sever debt and on July 31, 2013 the Arizona Registrar of Contractors suspended the company license; as well the company has pending lawsuit cases in it's future.
The truth and reasoning for my review, is because I fully disagree with the business practices of my partner and I care to warn any prospective buyer for the company's services. Currently, Palmer's Kitchen bath and Beyond must not contract for construction services yet my partner continues to take people's money and complaints still come forward.
The reality is that my partner has been a plumber for over 37 years and does not have the ability, knowledge or skills to be a remodel general contractor. And his current attempts to put an employee in the position of the qualified party have failed too.
I am still technically an owner of the company and although I will not suffer recourse for damages done by the company with my AZ ROC license, I fear the recourse as a legal owner.  I would again warn anyone thinking of hiring Palmer's Kitchen Bath and Beyond for ANY services to reconsider and to not take my testimony alone but check the history yourselves and look at the record on the AZ ROC website below.
azroc.gov under license #269037
The industry of construction is my profession and as legitimate contractors we all suffer from those who abuse the laws and ethics of the industry and prey on countless unaware homeowners. Thus perpetuating the stigma that contractors are lairs and thieves. Making a difficult career choice even tougher.
Please consider this warning and BUYER BEWARE
Best regards,
TJ Myres

I've had 4-5 major remodeling projects that I've contracted out over the years and this was by far the worst. Extremely disorganized, failed to deliver on promises (regardless if in writing/contract or not), and in the long run cost us much more to have actual professionals come and fix the shoddy work done.  Even they recognized that the work was terrible but by that time had our money and refused to follow through.
Save your money and look elsewhere because regardless the promises, they will be broken and you will either have to sue them and/or find professionals that can do the job right.
Response from Palmers Kitchen Bath & Beyond LLC
"I would like to respond to (removed member name) comments. There can be issues in any remodel project, from a simple bathroom remodel, to the larger projects as our company did for (removed member name). We added a complete upstairs family room above his existing garage for his growing family's activities. This type of project takes time. As the project moved forward, there were many questions by the homeowner as well as the General Contractor that had to be dealt with. The key to this balance is communication.I am not saying that we had perfect communication all of the time either. Some of that was our fault. What was difficult to deal with was a homewoner that could not control his emotions. After a short period of time, it was very apparent that Mr Leach was going to be difficult to deal with. We did not realize, "How Difficult He Would Become." Because of his unmanageable temper we were always wrong. No solution was ever appropriate. We were of strong resolve and continued to move forward with the project until completion. With a major project like this, there are many inspections by the City. We passed all of these and the room addition was deemed by the City Of Glendale to be up to code, (removed member name) and all of the neighbors thought the project looked and went great. The only exception was (removed member name). “You can please some of the people some of the time all of the people some of the time some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time.” ― Abraham Lincoln"
