CleanSweep

We just moved into a house with two fireplaces (one gas, one wood), so I purchased two cleanings through Angie's List (special offer coupon). Gerald was excellent and very professional. He went up on our roof (in a snowstorm!) to check the chimneys and he spread tarps down from the door to the fireplace to prevent tracking any mess through the house. He also determined that the chimney for the gas fireplace did not actually need cleaning so he offered to refund that cost. Thank you, Gerald! We highly recommend Gerald and will definitely hire him again!

It went GREAT! Again, Jerry swept our chimney, cleaned the cap, cleaned the wood stove window (awesome!), did a thorough inspection and let us know the pipe seal at the roof exit would need to be redone soon but that it wasn't critical to do it immediately. We paid the $69 through Angie's list for the sweeping and Jerry didn't ask us for dime more! He gave us a quote of $130 to reseal the stove pipe around the roof so that we could tell our landlords. Our landlords also agreed to pay for the chimney sweeping as Jerry's price was considerably less than quotes from other vendors in Flagstaff ... with lesser ratings ... which start at $150 (again, just for the sweeping). We highly recommend CleanSweep for this service. I believe Jerry is the owner/operator and he is honest and reliable!

Went fine!

The technician arrived on time and called a few minutes before appointment time to confirm. He cleaned both chimneys, and, afterwards, advised us on steps that we should take to keep our fireplaces working well. He also gave us a fair estimate to perform some additional repair work on the chimney cap and mortar.

He didn't charge mileage. He didn't test it. I called him back on Saturday and he ran his chimney sweep up and down and didn't charge me. I am going to get him to clean my mom's and dad's chimney for their anniversary. I give him the highest ratings and will continue to use him in the future.
