Description of Work: Repaired crown leak due to storm damage. Repair was done rite on time rite on the money.

Description of Work: Replaced the underlayment and all tiles on a smallish roof, ~125 sq. ft. |Not always easy to contact the reps, and for most of the workers English |was a challenge, but they ended up doing a pretty good job in less-than- |ideal conditions and on budget. But it's always a good idea to keep an |eye on the job!

Description of Work: I found the folks at Hay' universally friendly and helpful. I found the performance of Hay's Roofing less gratifying. The job consisted of a new roof on a townhouse which had a built-up roof with tiles over the patio overhangs and garage. When the job started it went rapidly for the first 2-3 days when their hot tar machine was required but as soon as they got their equipment back to use on other jobs, everything came to a halt. | |One tile man came for an hour one morning a few days later and was not seen again. After a couple of weeks I called to find out what the delay was. I immediately got a call back from a supervisor saying that they were unaware that the job was not finished. | |The next day a crew showed up and worked like crazy and "finished" the job except for the final white coating. This was done a few days later. All in all, a basic 4-5 day job took three weeks. | |After I received and paid the final bill, I sent Hay's some photos showing some areas of concern, including the TV cables draped all over the satellite dish where the painters had left them after painting the roof. There were other issues related to careless tile work. I did not climb to the roof but noted only those things that could be seen from the ground. A supervisor (the only time I ever saw anyone that I could identify as a supervisor during the whole job) called immediately and he came out and we went over my concerns. A couple of days later, two workers came out and corrected those things that could be corrected to make the job look considerably better. He explained to me that the delay in my job was due to a heavy workload. | |My only conclusion is that this retired homeowner's little $13000+ job was pretty low in their priorities. It seemed to me as if my job was more of a distraction to them than anything else. Everybody was nice and they tried to make the job right but it it there had been a philosophy of attention to detail and, adequate supervision, it would have been done right and in a timely fashion in the first place.

Description of Work: Three bidders on this project. Ralph's had lowest price. We had to draw cards on choosing a contractor all 3 were so close on bids, and references. Did not meet estimator. Vicki, who answered the phone and took information was extremely helpful.

Description of Work: Clay tiles were removed, underlayment was replaced, and tiles put back. Note: Our Pulte home in Oro Valley AZ was supposed to have a 30-year clay roof. In Yr 15, we experienced a lot of leaking and it was too difficult to determine the source area since the roof was sloping.

Description of Work: Replaced approximately 20+, 2 piece old style mexican tile, heavy chinked. Did a great job and cleaned up the mess from the blown off tiles they replaced. They were really good and this is the 2nd time I have used them for this kind of repair. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone with this kind of roof.

Description of Work: I just got an estimate from Ralph Hays Roofing Complaint for replacing the complete tile on my patio roof as an extension, six months ago.

Description of Work: Had leak in tile roof - original roof on house built in 1993. Had company repair just the area where leaks were occurring, just under one quarter of my roof. Lifted and stacked tiles, removed worn out tar paper, repaired damaged areas of wood in one area. Used a better grade of wood for the repair than wood used by original builder. Replaced 30 lb tar paper with heavier grade 40 lb and at my request (for slightly higher cost) overlapped sheets to create double layer. Restored tiles and replaced cracked/ damaged ones (I had spares left over from previous work). Put on new concrete end caps where needed. Work crew was one laborer with a second part of the time to assist in removing material from demolition.

Description of Work: Removed broken tiles from roof. Replace with approx 50 new tiles and cement. Remove and dispose of debris.

Description of Work: We called this company for an estimate, based on good reports in Angie's List and an acquaintance who said they had roofed her 2700 square foot house for just over $5,000 -- all indicated a reasonable price and quick response.
