I pulled out an old carpet to reveal original hardwood floors that were very beat up with stains, paint, carpet glue/nails, etc. Miguel quoted $600 to sand and refinish the floors which was much cheaper than my quotes to get new tile put down. As work progressed it was revealed that an old wall furnace had caused fire/burn damage to the nearby region of the floor in the past. For an extra $400 Miguel replaced the damaged section with matching oak boards. Once the floor was finished the replaced section matched the rest of the room perfectly. The work took about a full work week in order for the floor to be sanded and coated multiple times. While the repair ended up costing more than originally quoted because of the unexpected fire damage, the overall cost was still quite reasonable considering the amount and quality of work.

Miguel is the floor guy. He is an incredibly hard worker. Performs all the work by himself. He is very well equipped with the proper tools for the job. He listens to the customer and pays attention to key issues.

Good communication, we always knew where we were at in the process. Miguel contacted the floor material manufacturer and the American Floor Association to make sure the bamboo was assimilated to the house which turned out to be a big issue for shredded bamboo flooring. He paid special attention to the floor installation mating with our existing custom front door.

Cleaned up when he finished the construction and did not leave until we agreed that he had finished the job.

Miguel does very good work, you will enjoy working with him. He definitely makes an extra effort and his work shows this.

Miguel is professional, reliable, and extremely easy to work with.  He does absolutely beautiful work at a very reasonable price.   I have used him many times over the past 12 years and every experience is a positive one.  I will always use him as long as he is working!

I bought a new house and the prior owner's cat had urinated all over the oak hardwood floor in one room. That room was uninhabitable, as was the next room, due to the smell. If the door to the house was open, you could smell it from 10 feet away. Bad! In general, the floors were just "grubby" all over, and I couldn't get them clean. My kids would walk barefoot and their feet and my socks turned black. Miguel and his associate showed up (I think the same day I called) to look it over and give a rough quote, and then worked me into the schedule a couple weeks later. They did the first (smelly) half the house (I moved everything to the other half), and then came back again when I'd transferred my furniture to the other half to complete it. I couldn't just move out or take a vacation while they sanded and oiled the whole house. He offered to help move things around too. I had tried Nature's Miracle and various other treatments on the urine stain. The odor cut down substantially, but it was still untolerable. He sanded the floor, and it was better yet, but still pretty noticeable odor. He made several repairs not related to the cat urine (house plant water stains?), and ripped up the boards where the cat stained. He has seen this many times, and worse. The subfloor was soaked with urine too. I tried to treat it, to no avail. He replaced maybe a 4' x 4' section of the subfloor, and matched new boards to the repair area. The smell was maybe 95% gone. That was a tough decision point, to hope sealing the floor with oil would cover the rest of the odor, or rip out yet more wood to hopefully get the rest of the odor. I didn't have infinite money, and Miguel thought it would work out with the current repair and just oiling the floor. Oiled it up to seal it, and it was a new home. It looked NICE. No smell since, ... except one rainy day, but only one day, and that was several months ago. He was very flexible, practical, cost conscious, and trustworthy. He would just replace/repair areas he knew would be unsatisfactory, unless they were costly or borderline. I only left one borderline water stain unreplaced to save some money. Wished I had replaced it in hindsight, but I can live with it too. I am happy with it, and get compliments on the floor very often.
