I could not be more pleased with Dr. Khreiss. He cares. He takes the time to fully explain diagnostic test results, options, surgery specifics, risks, outlook and the post-operation recovery. He is a detail man and demands the best for his patient. He scheduled the operation based on the availability of the anesthesiologist and support team that he knew was best. He visited me multiple times per day as I recovered in the hospital. Results were superb. You can trust Dr. Khreiss.

An ultrasound showed that I had gall stones.  Southwestern Surgery was recommended to me by my primary care provider.  I was assigned to Dr Favre.  She answered all of my questions, explained what the surgery would be to remove my gall bladder, told me the time frame that I could expect to hear back from them with scheduling information.  Within the two week time frame I heard back and was scheduled.  My insurance provider was not contracted with the hospital that was first chosen so Dr Favre's scheduler, Nancy, contacted my insurance provider to find out who they could use, did some kind of magic in the scheduling world and within two week of my 1st visit my gall bladder was removed.  I've told my husband that if I ever need surgery again I will try my best to have Dr Favre perform it!!

Colon resection done and a leaky stitch was left to infect my systme, became septic. Had to be rushed back to hospital for 2nd emergency surgery. Went into coma for 2 months, woke up with illeostomy bag, huge tracheotomy, which caused me to be unable to speak for months. Stayed in hospital until my insurance ran out, then had to go to nursing home for another month, finally home (with illeostomy bag for another year) in October. Had to learn to walk, eat and talk again. Permanent damage, physically, emotionally, psychologically, every which way possible. Now have numerous large hernias covering my abdomen and have to have surgery to fix, shich I am scared to death.

First, this office accepted me on an "emergency" basis. I suspect I was fit into Dr. Artz's already full schedule.
Dr. Artz examined me, removed a couple of hemorrhoids and told me to come back next week. The bleeding was minimal during the ensuing week. On rexamination, she removed one more herommhoid, which she described as small. She told me that because she did not find additional hemorrhoids, "Don't come back!" But the bleeding variably continued over months.I thought that because I was having multiple bowel movements every day that I was being too rough with toilet paper. Dr. Artz had recommended that I blot, not wipe.
In February of 2013 I was once again severely hemorrhaging. I chose a different doctor from the same practice, but was unable to see her for several days. The hemorrhaging continued, slowly decreasing, over three days.  When I went to see the new surgeon, she immediately ordered a colonoscopy, which I had a week later. The surgeon who did the colonoscopy removed several polyps and informed me that there was an additional polyp next to the sphincter muscle that he had sent a portion of for biopsy. It turned out the polyp held a Stage 2 tumor that was malignant, but had not metastacized.
I am amazed that Dr. Artz could have missed these polyps and not recommend a colonoscopy. According to the surgeon who did the colonoscopy that polyp had been there for about ten years. Since it is highly unlikely that she "missed" these polyps, why did she not recommend a colonoscopy? About four months went by between my initial appointment with her and the diagnosis of the tumor. Given that tumor growth and matasticizationcan can be quite irregular and sometimes rapid, Dr. Artz's performance was potentially life threatening. I urge great caution to anyone looking to Dr. Artz for competent practice. She may have done wonderful work with others, but in my case this is not how I experienced her attitude, recommendations or outcomes.;

She is wonderful. I couldn’t be happier with her. My sister also had to have surgery; she was delighted with her too.  She explains everything to you so that you understand. She was so pleasant and made me feel comfortable.
