It went well. Maria came out to my house with 1-2 days of me contacting the office. She offered ideas but was very good about soliciting my ideas as well. She took measurements and we made a plan for me to visit their showroom. At the showroom, Maria and everyone was extremely helpful; they have a huge selection of doors and facings as well as hardware and countertop samples. I rec'd. just the right amount of assistance. There was no pressure and no hovering. The installation was a piece of cake. It could not have gone better. Donald and his crew were highly professional and easy to have around. They finished earlier than anticipated and left the place clean. I highly recommend Southwest Kitchens and Bath.

Excellent experience in working with Designer Laura Wallace and Lead Installer Donald. Laura assisted in laying out new cabinets with some re-faced lower cabinets to preserve granite counter tops. She made some excellent suggestions for changing our current layout which we mostly followed. We ended up with a very high quality custom look in Hickory that totally transformed the space. Donald did really precise work for the Installation, and even found a couple items that needed to be corrected by the cabinet makers that we missed. On time, great work, excellent customer service. Worked with my appliance provider to make sure cabinet shelves were correctly installed for built in appliances. Highly recommended.

We recently had our kitchen cabinets refaced by Southwest Kitchen and Bath as the last phase of our total home remodel. We met with designer Maria Jean who made the process of choosing the right design and finishes so easy; she is patient and knowledgeable and a dream to work with! Stacey Kavalec also spent considerable time with me in choosing just the right hardware to complement our new cabinets. We are so happy with our beautiful new cabinets that I have already recommended Southwest Kitchen and Bath to a neighbor and will continue to recommend them. Without a doubt, Southwest Kitchen and Bath was one of the best companies we have worked with. You and your team delivered excellence Maria! Thanks again for our beautiful kitchen.

So far so good! The job is just starting (hence only a B rating). However, their expertise, explanations, efficiency and comments from others who have used them have been excellent.

I was given a schedule 2 weeks in advance. The workmen arrived on time and on schedule and work was done exactly per schedule. Workmanship was high quality and we are very satisfied with the results.

"Thank you Mr. [Member Name Removed]- we strive to take extra steps to keep our projects organized and keep schedules as projected. It can be tricky sometimes, it is construction after all... lots of moving parts and pieces! Your recognition of our efforts is very appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We look forward to doing your next project with you! All the best, Melissa Elkins Sr. Designer, Owner"

This Renovation of our kitchen started in June 2015 with us meeting with Laura, installation was from Sep 17- Oct 3.  We were recommended to her by our Real Estate agent.  Our first meeting with Laura was to measure out the kitchen, then we met with her at the showroom to select cabinets and Quartz counter tops.  She was patient  and understanding of what we desired.  At the meeting, she provided us with a CAD system design of our new kitchen.   We selected our cabinets and Quartz counter tops.  We did not want to start our project until mid-Sep.  She knew our contractor, drew up the plans on where our cabinets were to go, provided him the layout.  We are just thrilled at the new look of the cabinets and Quartz counter tops.  The price shown was for the cabinets, 3 slabs of Quartz(which is a lot) and labor.  It was well worth the investment.  Highly recommend Laura at Southwest Kitchen and Bath.

Mel was fabulous to work with and the design was great. I am writing this review 7 years later, because they are still giving great service. I needed some new hinges and they are providing them free of charge. I have always found them to be very responsive. I would recommend them to anyone!

They came back and installed the three drawers that did not have the soft close guides.
Response from southwest kitchen and bath
"[member name removed], I am so sorry you felt like your project did not go as expected. The 2 doors that came in damaged and had to be replaced were definitely a set back and took away from being able to show off your completed kitchen to your family during the holidays even tho it did not keep you from functioning in the kitchen. i will take your advice to heart about improving the communications process on our team. The 3 drawers you did not get upgraded was a decision [member name removed] made at the field measure i attended. However if you would like to have us upgrade those drawers now, i will be happy to do so, at my expense. I want you to be very happy with your project and be able to tell your neighbors it turned out like you had hoped. i apologize for the mis-communications or your recollections of events not playing out the way you expected. we do care very much about your experience and hope we can make this right by you. i will follow up with a phone call to you on Monday and we can hopefully make this right for you. Thanks for your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the customer experience. Mel Elkins- Owner and Sr. Designer"

The manufacturer refused to help us and wanted to deal with the original installers, who were out of business. Jill went above and beyond to assist us; she stayed on top of the situation, and always followed up with me concerning the status of the parts. We even used Southwest to get everything installed. I will be using this company in the future if I need anything else for my cabinets.
Response from southwest kitchen and bath
"thank you so much for your review! We are always here to help if the need arises again. sorry you had such frustration with the other company. Jill absolutely shines with project management and customer service. All of our clients just love her! all the best- Mel Elkins Owner/Sr. Designer"

anWork was done on time, quality of workers was good. I especially liked the counter replacing (done by Andrew Lauren). My only real complaint was that one cabinet door was the wrong size and had to be reordered and the doors shrank in time leaving an edge inside the molding that was not stained on several doors.
Whether I would use them again would depend on getting more bids.
Response from southwest kitchen and bath
"[Member Name Removed] , Thank you for taking the time to write a positve review of your experience. We experience door shrinkage in the summertime here in Tucson from most of the manufacturers because the cabients are made in the mid-west where it is more humid. the lines will cover up again as your cabinets acclimate to the Tucson dryness. if you were not given a touch up kit with your cabinets, i would be happy to send one to you. this will help cover up the areas you are concerned about until the weather gets a little cooler for us and the cabinets finish acclimating on their own. we will follow up by phone with you on tuesday. if there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know. thanks again for letting us know how your experience went with SWKB. all the best, Mel"

We started in November and it was to take 3-4 days. There were multiple delays with materials and then materials came damaged and had to be sent back (sometimes twice). They had to come over often and this was an inconvience but we remained cooperative. They would say they were "done" and we would find multiple things that were not done. We took a lot of pictures and provided them to the company. I think the issue was the quality of the wood in that it would not tolerate much adjustments. The doors were not lined up, many are warped so they don't close smug, there are multiple seams that show, handles were not lined up and the spaces between the doors are not straight. We had the owner come out and she came in on the defense and was disrespectful to us. She tried to blame the fact that we had refacing but we would point out the same issues with the new cabinets, she kept instructing the installers to make adjustments but they really could not be adjusted any more. She essentially said we were too picky. I asked her if I could see another clients results to see that we should accept the quality. (Home Depot cabinets line up better). She argued, belittled us and took no responsibility. We were clear that we thought by having a professional company, we could get a professional product. We spent almost 30k on this project and we are stuck with it. If we had paid 15, we might have accepted the quality. The project was finished mid April, 5 months! It is one thing to disagree with the the customers on some things but she was defensive and rude from the start-even when it was so obvious. Sad.
Response from southwest kitchen and bath
"[Member name removed], thanks for the continued feedback on your project. again i will apologize that we could not make you happy with any of the solutions we offered. We offered you a very generous credit on your final balance to us of $1000.00, which you accepted with the hopes of finding someone else to do the final tweaks of your kitchen that you had more confidence in. Your kitchen was absolutely beautiful and is photo-worthy for any Home Magazine. I am sorry you have not been able to see the quality of work we did. we returned 16 times to accommodate all the items you were unhappy with, hoping we finally had met your expectations but you kept adding more and more to the list every time. I can assure you if you had run your project thru a Box store as you had referenced, you would not have gotten the level of professionalism and service we gave you. we offered to show you homes we had remodeled many times, and the offer is still available. we have been blessed with many happy clients and they would gladly show off their kitchens any time. please let me know if you would like to arrange this and I will be most happy to take you myself. if you perceived my attention to your project as rude, belittling and irresponsible, i apologize. it was very frustrating to return so many times and not be able to ever gain your satisfaction. i do hope you can enjoy your kitchen someday and not feel stuck with it. you invested a lot of money into your project and it will be shame to feel this discontent with it forever more. MEL"

We first contacted Anne Dornberg @ Southwest, and she came to our home with various samples of doors. We kept 2 to see how they would look in different light, and then went to their showroom to view more options. We went with our original choice, and were given a quote. After some discussion, and talking to alternate contractors, we decided to go with Southwest. They came and measured all of our cabinets and placed the order with the manufacturers.

The cabinets arrived on the day they said they would, and when the installers came, they did a marvelous job. Everything was on time and on budget.

The cabinets are high quality, the work was very professional, and the people at Southwest were friendly, accommodating, and professional as well. Anne Dornberg was a delight to work with get to know.

We recommend Southwest Kitchen and Bath very highly.

Our experience with SW Kitchen and Bath and our designer Chris was very professional and efficient. We were given a schedule of when items pertaining the kitchen update would happen and they did. The cabinets were delivered on Friday and the construction crew came on Monday. The whole process took 3 weeks most of which was waiting on the countertop fabrication. It all went smoothly and painlessly. The construction crew was terrific and handled any small problems that came up with humor and professionalism. We will be definitely use them again for the bathroom update.
