Up front costs high, so, somehow was signed into a program to decrease costs but ended up with monthly payments for a year before I can cancel, covers other household appliances for that time period. Initial info provided for this program by mechanic was inaccurate but still got stuck with nonetheless... Is not worth it at present. Parts costs much higher than Sears Parts Store sell them for to a home owner... No good reason provided for this. Phone calls outsourced and very difficult communicating, and constant switching of calls usually ended up with drops. Web site confusing.

They have a home repair department.  You can have major work done by them. That is kind of the way we use most of it. The quote they gave us was a little higher than everybody else's but we got a 50 year warranty on the shingles and all maintenance. It was only $2000 more than anybody else's and I said, '50 years on shingles and all maintenance so if anything goes wrong you come out and fix it?'  The guy said, 'Yeah, absolutely'.  Anyway, it had only been like a year and we had a little bit of a leak in the garage where it didn't get...and I went up and looked at it...I have done roofing before, anyway, I went up and looked at it and they didn't seal where the siding meets the plywood; where the shingles spill over; they hadn't sealed that. So obviously any water that runs up in there is going to then leak into the plywood. I called them and said, 'You need to send somebody back out to seal the stuff along here'. They said, 'We no longer do homes in Arizona'. He said, we don't have a company that will meet out standard of work in Arizona any longer. I said, 'What about the warranty?' He said, 'We'll have to call around and find somebody to come and...pay another company to come do that for you. I said, 'Well get on it' $2000 over 50 years is like nothing; that was my original thought. But the odds are, they are not going to come out and have to do anything anyway if they did a really good job the first time. It has been going on a year now and we are still waiting for them to come and fix that problem. Fortunately Arizona is dry so we don't get a lot of rain. I think it was $17000. Some people say, that sounds like a lot but we have a lot of roof area because we have patios around three quarters of the house. I think they did a nice job of installation and they did a fairly decent job of the clean up. We found a few nails here and there but not many. It seems like they did a pretty nice job on the installation. I would have done a couple of things a little different but the installation seems to be really good, it seems to be wearing really well. Most of the work was good, it is just the little tiny details where he missed something. You expect them to come back and fix it right away and then they don't. It took them a long time to calls us back the first time we called them and left a message. They gave us a day and they showed up on that day. They gave us a time when they would have it finished and they had it finished. When they came to do the work, they were very punctual. They came when they said, they'd be here and finished it when they said they would have it finished. They only had one person that spoke English, no body else seemed to speak English. I am going to be doing my daughter's roof and I am not calling them, that is for sure.

We were very happy. Everything was exactly as we had hoped. We brought it in, we dropped it off, we know where it is in the Thorpe and we appreciate that they offer that service and they did what they said they would do and it came at the right price and they let us know when it was ready and all good. It is just so amazing that somebody still repairs watches. Everything is so disposable. It is just kind of sweet and nice that it is still there just like it was when we were growing up. I really appreciate that. That is one of the reasons we chose Sears for that.

They have a set price list and rely on their name to charge outrages prices. I had better units installed for $7,500.00 less than the Sears bid. Salesmen was very professional, but can not vary from set prices.

They earlier fixed our washing machine. They did fix it but it was a very old machine. The price was acceptable, none of them are good. They were responsive and they did a job of cleaning up.

I only had to pay my deductible. It was a good job. Their quality was good. I would use them again in the future if need be.

We have a warranty with them. For all the appliances, we pay about $1000 a year. The first year we had them they were very positive but now they are making an effort to be here on time and are making an effort to repair the things that they should be repairing but they have very nice repairmen. They were not user friendly the first year that we had them. They have now developed into a very good company. We would recommend them to others. The price is not cheap. On the other hand it is a security and we have peace of mind that we can call somebody and they respond rather rapidly. We don't have to worry about anything. They have been very good on quality this year too. We are very satisfied with them. They responded very nicely this time. Last year, we had all kinds of problems with them. I think people complained and they changed their whole status and their whole way of approaching problems. Again this year they have been friendly. They haven't sat here and argued with us. They have gone ahead and explained things. Last year, we had an emergency. During the harvest time in Tucson it is very hot. Our cooler broke down and they didn't respond and there were some other times they didn't respond too but this year they have a thing like if we guarantee them $100 they will respond the same day or the next day, so this year they have definitely been very good. They have changed. We have been using them for a long time. We would continue to use them in the future; in fact, we have signed up with them for another year.

The estimate was clear but he did not provide any documentation as to the quality of the materials, which another company did. The price was double what another company had quoted.

A short time after from Sears on line, I was emailed with information on delivery and installation indicating that I would be informed within 24-48 hours prior to delivery when delivery and installation would take place. The afternoon prior to the stated delivery date after not hearing from Sears, I attempted to contact Sears to get an update. Following Sears instructions, I was instructed through a string of 4 different phone numbers (which I was asked to dial each time - no transfer could be done) to 4 different Sears locations, finally reaching the one with the answers. Each site had minimal inter-personal skills (some were not expecting a customer to call that number) and in some cases wasn't sure where to direct me, but I finally got an answer, which was to call the plumbing company (Arizona Plumbing Services in Tucson) that Sears had contracted to do the install. Speaking with AZ Plumbing Services (called number 5), I was told that the installation would take place between 8 - 12:00 the next day. The next day at 12:00 after a no-show, I called AZ Plumbing Services for a status and was told that the plumber was held up on a big job and would be late. A short time later, I received a call from the plumber inquiring if I had the water softener - which I didn't have. The plumber would now have to pick it up from Sears in Tucson. At 3:00 PM, the plumber arrived to do the install which was completed after some minor problems (it's plumbing!). It looks like a good install and appears to be functioning fine. All packaging was removed and the area cleaned. One day of vacation down the drain. I'm not sure that the $200 install (which was basically placing the unit, attaching the pieces, sweating two pipes and plugging it in) was worth the price.
