The tech service people were tremendous. Both were very friendly, courteous and professional. The only problem I had was in setting the service appointment up with the telephone operator. She was difficult to understand and insisted that I had an electric dryer when it is actually a gas dryer. I also noted that the service tech for the dryer needed a lift to remove the dryer and the first service tech did not have a lift but arranged for a different service tech with a lift to come to my home to actually service the dryer.

While the cost of the part was a bit pricey I feel like I have a new refrigerator, and saved a lot in the long run by not having to buy a new one. The repairman was very knowledgeable and professional. I also received a 20% senior discount.

Repairman was punctual and explained what he was doing. He knew the problem from my description of what the machine was not doing. It took him almost as long to go out to his van to get the part than it did to actually replace it.

Evaluation proved to be the cost to repair would not be economical, replacement is a better choice. The unit was 23 years old, and even with the replacement parts, what would fail next. Bought a new refridgerator from local vendor.

Techs told me I had a disconnected vent and needed to repair and brace vent. That is what is on the receipt. Bill was $809 and one tech left, leaving other to get me to pay bill. He could not tell me what was done, where it was done etc. He told me he could not leave until I signed the bill, and that there was a 30 day guarantee. He phoned office and woman on phone asked if I ok'd charge, I told here I did not know what was done, she repeated 30 day guarantee and charged me without my ok. I had them out again as the dryer was still taking 2 hours to dry towels (my initial reason to have them out, and btw, it still takes that, must be the dryer), and tech could not tell me where the repair was done. I do not believe there was ever a repair needed. Had another professional in to inspect Sears work, all they could see that was done was duct tape placed on a vent taping it to a wall. Not even a proper metal bracing. Vent work is still loose in many places and there is no dryer lint in the wall cavity indicating that the vent was ever broke. Dry wall patch job was poor. Business is unresponsive to calls, emails, surveys....and ignored Better Business Bureau complaint. They are C- on BBB. I believe they upsell 'repair work' that is not needed, and they are dishonest by ignoring their 30 day guarantee.

They're wonderful.  They do a wonderful job.  They've been coming here for years.  They only come to Sierra Vista on 2 Fridays a month.  They're better than anybody around here on pricing.  Their quality is very good.  I will be using them again in May.  2 people come out to compete the job.  It takes about an hour to an hour and a half maybe.  It all depends. We have a small house.  He vacuums first and then he does the carpet cleaning.  The cleanliness of the rugs & carpets is the best part.

This is the second time that ice maker was replaced. First time not Sears. The Sears job 5 years later was over $100.00 from the last repair. And I found it offensive that the technician comes in looks at the unit, sees that it is broken then gives a price of almost $400.00 that I could take it or leave it. And apparently the technician is use to people say no repair. Shouldn't this service be price quoted at the time that the service appointment is made? I have reported it to local BBB.

It was fine. They all seem be about the same with the price. It was 2 visits total for the same job. First visit, the guy came out and did diagnosis and ordered the part. The second guy came out to put the part in. It turns out the guy diagnosed it wrong but the second guy did everything right and got it all up and running.

I felt that both situations were pretty much parallel and what my thoughts were so whatever as far as professionalism problem with all of that would be the same because both situation were just a direct parallel of the personality of the company.

It turned out well, well there's been two different occasions one was a dryer needed to be repaired part ordered and installed and our TV had to have a part replaced and successful on both trips. I think pricing for one thing on labor is a little bit high, I would probably put it in maybe something more compatible and competitive with some other outfits I would say if they did maybe a fifteen to twenty percent price drop.

It went badly. The first technician misdiagnosed the problem and performed a repair that did not in fact fix the machine. In addition, he was extremely unpleasant to all of the people present including a child, who he blamed for the problem. The next day, the second technician did a new diagnosis and proposed replacing a part that was basically equal to the cost of a whole new machine. At that point, he should have recommended replacing the machine but did not make that recommendation. We had to call off the part order and stop the charge for the diagnosis and repair ($79+$80+ cost of part) and get reimbursed for the first ($79+$80) visit. When all was said and done, many phone calls to Sears later, we were able to get the charges reduced to one $79 trip visit charge. The amount of time wasted on this, on top of the insults from the first tech and the injury of being charged for nothing, is enraging. Believe me, the new machine was not purchased from Sears.
