SB Rennovations contacted me minutes after I posted the project on Homeadvisor. They came to view the project the same day, and quoted a price between two other bids I received. Their bid was reasonable, and they were able to start work within days of my approving their proposal. The work was done well and the site was left clean after they finished. On top of all of this, they communicated regularly and politely, thanking us for the opportunity. What more can you ask for?

We had a minor repair ceiling patch repair. The repair involved re-taping and replacing the acoustical ceiling texture. They did an excellent job - on time - reasonable price.

It was a horrible experience. Please beware, this is not a professional contractor. Casey will give you every excuse to cause you to want to cancel to keep your money and not finish your project. It has been 6 weeks that I have not had a shower or a sink. Walls and floor tile are not complete. She will have lots of random people from **labor-ready places** in your home. She will make every excuse possible to delay the project and lie about it. DO NOT sign a contract with her, especially if she states there is a 20% cancellation fee. Also, make sure you include a timeframe for when it should be completed. If you supply your own material, beware, she will buy more and ask for reimbursement and not give you money for extra materials she needs to return. She, nor any of the people she found to work on my home wore masks and they did the demo and left all the trash in your yard. Also, attempted to file a BBB complaint, but they could not locate an LLC for her business. She is not a licensed contractor and will screw you over in any way she can. Very unprofessional and will put other jobs before you. Please, do not allow her to do this to people, it is not right that she leaves people without being able to live in their home fully because she can not complete a job she said she would do. She will blame you and you will practically be doing her job for her. She says she is honest, but she is far from it. Little to no experience and does not even have her own solid contacts. She had plenty of people quit on her and I know why. One worker said she has never paid him for any labor he did. I would never recommend them and I hope that she can not do anymore business.
Response from SB's Renovations, LLC
"Vanessa, we apologize that your experience was notwhat you expected. It certainly is not the experience we would want you or any other customer to have. We also know that having a bathroom torn apart that long is unacceptable. Unfortunately, your project did hit some snags along the way, which, delayed your project We do reach out to recruiting agencies to locate qualified employees when our contacts are unavailable. They provide a great resource for small businesses like ours. Individuals are pre-screened and drug tested. That is a standard course of action for a lot of companies like ours when staffing becomes an issue. Unfortunately, the contracted tile setter walked away and other companies with who we have relationships were not available last minute. I personally installed and performed all the work that I could in order to keep the project moving while we located a qualified tile setter. Our S.O.P. is not to allow anyone back on site once their contract has been terminated. This is to ensure that tools are not stolen, we also wait to pay contracted individuals until all tools borrowed/checked out have been returned. Procedures are documented in their contract. We take labor laws seriously and are disappointed at the false accusations you are making. There were a lot of unforeseen obstacles, we pursued all avenues available and kept you informed along the way. We did find a replacement and you sent him away on the 18th, our last day on-site per your request. Understandably having so many issues on site would cause you to be upset and to distrust us. We are disappointed that your view of our company is so derogatory. We are still willing to do what we can do to make it right. As we have stated. The BBB is an organization where companies have to apply to obtain BBB accreditation. Our company can be verified on the Arizona Corporations Commission website. With the company being in the startup phase, the BBB accreditation is not something we have been able to invest time in, yet. We were hired as a ? handy-man? and Interior Design service as advertised. Noted in your contract, we are not a licensed contractor. During the initial phase of putting together our agreements, we discussed that you received discounted pricing because we were hoping to use this job as a showcase. Not to trick you into using us. We were very open and honest that this is a start-up and we are a handy-man/ design service. We do hold ourselves to a high degree of ethics. We are a family-owned and operated business, as advertised. My son does accompany me at times. We provided you with receipts before being reimbursed, your materials are still on site. If you feel this is inaccurate please send us a list to [email protected]. We also advised that in order to stay within budget debris would be left until the demolition phase of your second project that we were contracted for was complete. This would save you extra fees that you would have been charged. You are only allotted so much time to roll off dumpsters before you are charged again. We still cannot offer you your original request. If your family member has already installed your tile, we can offer labor on another service. After sending our guy away on the 18th of December and your false accusations we still stand by our original statement that: you will not be charged for the change orders. These services were provided to try and help make up for the delays. We still are not charging you the 20% cancellation fee for the remainder of your contract. We are taking on the dumping fees. We hope that you will email over all your concerns listed here and any further concerns you may have thought of. That way we can fully close out your project and just maybe change your opinion. Our email is [email protected]. Our business page can be located here: sbrenoaz.com. We hope that our response has put you at ease."
