RUG RESOURCE

The oriental rug for the master bedroom soon developed some small tufts of carpet sticking up from the rug.  I called Walter and he explained that this hand-made rug was produced in an area of the world that had experienced a drought and the rug would be easy to fix.  This occurred 3 years ago, and the tufts were not that noticeable.  We left town for an extended period of time.  In the last year there has been more use of the house, and as a result, the tufts are more noticeable.  At the end of March I stopped by Walter's store with a group of friends and asked if he could fix the rug.  He was quite agreeable, and once again explained why this happened to rugs made in that region.  He said it would be no problem to fix it, and told us all that when he planned to be in my neighborhood he would call ahead to make arrangements to pick up the rug.  He never called me.  I have discussed this issue with him, and his staff several times.  Everyone is always very friendly.  But he makes promises to call when he is out this way and that is the last that I hear from him.  I am not asking that he take back the rug, or refund my money.  I simply want my $4,000 rug free from defects!

UPDATE: Finally this spring I went to him once again and told him that the rug had turned into a shag carpet. I told him that He needed to come and get it. He provided a nice alternative for me which I was able to pick out.
