I was not very satisfied. because I asked him to itemize his costs. when he was on-site and I was showing him the bathroom I asked him to be completely itemized because I can't spend thousands of dollars on the bathroom so I need to know what stuff is going to cost so that way if something costs way too much I could decide to cut some stuff out and not end up doing it that way. He said that was fine, everything was fine and that he would do that. Then when he did send me the quotes plus the 3-D sketch drawings, which were pretty lame, the $7,000 quote was not itemized. He itemized some things, but the things he did itemize only added up to about $3,000 so I needed to know where the other $4,000 was being spent because it was not all broken down so I had no idea what the actual costs are. He said $7,000 was a very reasonable price for what I wanted done in the bathroom and I told him I don't think he understood what I was asking for. He did not listen to me. I have had people come in and give me free quotes. I thought this was a good deal because I thought I was getting a blueprint, but the blueprint was not what I wanted. I grant you that there was a communication breakdown.

They were very prompt on that. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. I didn't get a whole lot from them as far as pictures or drawings of anything that they were going to do. It was more or less just kind of a quote of what they were going to do. I didn't use them. I was a little disappointed because they took quite a while to get back to me after he had come and took a look at the house. So, I didn't go with them. But it wasn't a negative on their part. It was just that it was going to be too much for what I wanted to do. So, I declined to go with them. I thought that they were very average in everything that they did except that he was very prompt getting out here and looking through it. I thought he was very professional. When I do get ready to do it I will give them another call.

After an in-home consultation, he eventually (2+ weeks) produced a plan that was not actually practical.  While a quote was requested, we never actually received one.  In fairness what we were asking him to do was in some ways complicated since we don't have a huge area to work with, but that's why we engaged an expert.  Ultimately we went with a different remodeling company that did our plan for free and then contracted for the work.

It was fine.  He did a nice plan for the master bathroom decided to wait to do the remodel.  He was very confident and professional.  I appreciated that he wasn’t pushy.  We might consider to use them when we do the remodel.

It went well. They were very patient with me as I was very slow to respond to their calls and emails.

They came out and gave me an estimate and gave me the drawn up plans too. They were doing this for the kitchen for me. They were nice, polite and got back to me in a prompt manner. It seemed like the price for the remodel was quite high though.

They do beautiful work and are very neat; cleaned up the mess each day.  Workers are very friendly, but most important they are very skilled and competent.   But, the project took much longer than estimated.  Work began on November 11, 2013 and finished February 5, 2014.  All in all, I would use this company again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was alright. We had to reschedule 2 or 3 times. They have missed appointments and I had to call to remind them so it was rather annoying. I just paid the price of the Big Deal.
Response from Rossetti Remodelers & Window Specialists
"Angies List Member is correct with the exception that we did not miss "appointments". We missed one appointment which was totally my fault. I did have to reschedule two times, not three times, due to illness. I had emergency hernia surgery and it caused our appointments to get backed up. It was difficult after the surgery to keep up with my schedule and I did reschedule an appointment with the homeowner for 5 PM in the afternoon. I don't normally make appointments that late in the day but it was the only time that the homeowner had available. When I finished with my 4PM appointment I was in pain from the surgery, as was normal at that time of the day, and I headed home. The homeowner called at 5:30 and I realized that I had missed his appointment. I told him that I would be right out. I arrived at 6PM and apologized for my oversight. I spent well over an hour with the homeowner and another gentlemen, discussed his project, provided my ideas, and followed up with a design and quote for the project. The homeowner never responded to my design or quote. Normally, after we submit our design we then communicate with the homeowner to fine tune the design and to incorporate any ideas that they may have. . The missed appointment did happen as stated but it is definitely not the norm. We have completed well over 500 remodels over the past 14 years with a record of less that 1% critical reviews. It is a record that we are proud of."

I thought it went great!  He was a good listener - and obviously has lots of experience to bring to the table when discussing remodeling.  The drawings provided were in easy-to-read pdf format and were accurate and thorough.

So disappointing.  I bought a special $75 offer on Angie's List for drawings of a kitchen remodel.  Mr. Rossetti and his son-in-law came out and measured my kitchen and took pictures.  I explained where I wanted to move the refrigerator and install a cook-top.  I was unsure where to put a wall oven and asked for their suggestions. I explained where I did NOT want the refrigerator and why I did not want it there.  I wanted new cabinets that extended to the ceiling to give me more storage space, and I explained I did not want granite countertops.  I asked for suggestions.

What I received was a 2" x 3" drawing with the refrigerator where I said I didn't want it and my kitchen range in an impossible configuration (oven opens out towards me).  There was no cook-top or wall oven in the drawing. The cabinets were the same cabinets I currently have in the house.  I also received four computer generated drawings showing several angles of the same wall of the kitchen.  The drawings showed the granite countertops I said I did not want.  There were no drawings of the opposite wall.

After explaining again what I wanted, Mr. Rosetti tried several times to reconfigure the drawing on his computer to no avail.  I gave up. I'm out $75, but the good news -  they are not remodeling my kitchen.
Response from Rossetti Remodelers & Window Specialists
"On our initial visit we spent more than an hour listening to [member name removed] and taking measuremets. We returned a week later with our preliminary drawings. As [member name removed] viewed them she expressed concern with the placement of the refrigerator and the range. I explained why I placed them as I did and she said that she would like the refrigerator on the opposite wall. We use a CAD program for our drawings and as she spoke I switched the refrigerator to the suggested wall and explained that it disrupted the flow of traffic in that position. I also made several other changes as she expressed her ideas and in the end it seemed that our original design appeared to work the best. [member name removed] was not happy with our original design or any of the changes that we made at her suggestion. In any event this was our initial visit and we always anticipate additional visits until we are able to complete a design that is functional, attractive and pleasing to the customer. On this occasion we left with the understanding that [member name removed] would , at her suggestion, visit the appliance store and look for new appliances that might make a better fit in her kitchen. We did not hear back from [member name removed] and were surprised when we read her review. [member name removed] remarks at the end of her review, " the good news - they are not remodeling my kitchen. We never asked to remodel her kitchen. Our intention in providing a design service is to provide a workable design that is pleasing to the customer. We never anticipate that we will be doing the job when we complete a design. In this project we had not reached that stage. At the conclusion [member name removed] would have received completed drawings. The drawings that she was shown were our working drawings , not meant to be a final drawing. We would be happy to meet with [member name removed] again and work on her design until she has a workable design that she is happy with as that was our original intention. We never gave [member name removed] reason to believe that we were finished with her project . We are not new to this business and have been involved in all aspects of the construction business for over 40 years."

He came over right away and we talked about what I wanted. He did a kitchen design for me and his plan was very clear. I thought the quality of the design was very nice and attractive. He was an older man which made me feel more confident in his work and knowledge.

Rossetti Remodelers and Window Specialists worked diligently and completed the job by the date we requested.  Anytime we needed to contact them, we were able to speak to a real person, or they called us right back.  Any unforeseen issue that arose was handled immediately and professionally.  Their crews were courteous, helpful, and dependable.  They also cleaned up everyday before leaving which was very important to us.  Their job was somewhat challenging in that the tub/shower combination was the original in the house built in 1958.  The finished product is modern and beautiful - just what we ordered.  The week after completion Rossetti Remodelers and Window Specialists came out to follow up and make sure everything was working correctly.  We would not hesitate to hire this company again.
