RL Knight/ Southern Mill

We used Larry Knight as a general contractor for a total home remodel. He started of strong but nothing was done to code. We are advised permits would be secured but we’re not. Even worse, Larry and his crew did such shoddy work that is was dangerous to the integrity to the home. Things such as leaving live electrical wire bare and buried in walls. Electrical splices in the ceilings with no junction boxes. Plumbing behind walls which used temporary connectors which are expected to fail within several years. Condensation drainage lines that dumped condensate into the walls. Bearing walls where the studs were compromised with notches and buried behind walls. Then there was just the stupid and shoddy work where nothing is square, things like the garbage disposal leaked because only held with one screw or downdraft fan that wouldn’t work because the packaging wasn’t removed properly. Around here, after two years, we refer to Larry as an STD. We will never be rid of him. His work shoddiness flares up whenever you take a closer look at what was done. Use him and his crew at your own risk.

I found them on Angie's List and called them. We got an estimate on the phone, they came the next day when they said they would be there. Performed the work for the estimated price and also did some additional work at no extra charge. We will definitely use them again for our flooring needs.

No complaints whatsoever...

Joann and everyone else were great at every step in this process. I originally came to them nearly a year ago looking for Concrete overlay work for flooring. Even though they did not provide this service at the time, Joann was very professional and mentioned tiling options similar in appearance to the desired result. After research proved that the concrete overlay would be prohibitively expensive, I returned to them to further discuss tiling. Everyone there was very friendly and professional while being quite patient with my young children. The advice and guidance I received were great, and the tile is perfect for the space. I'm very happy with the experience and will certainly return to get more tile for the other bathroom and kitchen later on. It is my pleasure to to strongly recommend this company.

Company did a great job! A 5 man team came in and removed old flooring and began laying tile on the same day. They completed the job in two days and cleaned up the entire mess.

We called the day before to confirm that they were supposed to come the next day, and we were told that we were on the list. The next day, we were told that we were not on the list. When I spoke with the owner, he cursed me and asked if I wanted my check back. The installers were fine, but the owner (Robert "Larry" Knight) was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

THE INSTALLER DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB WITH THE CERAMIC TILE FLOORING IN MY BATHROOM AND KITCHEN. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND RESPONSIVE TO MY NEEDS. THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS GREAT.

INSTALLING THE CARPET IN FIVE ROOMS OF MY HOUSE WASN'T A PROBLEM FOR THEM. THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS GREAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
