Ramon is a great guy.  Our door and gate are lovely and we are happy with them so far. 
We started the process on September 28 2015, chose the design for our security door and gate and gave him the check for $600 which he promptly cashed.  Our first install date was supposed to be October 16.  We tried to contact him by phone but no one answered so we left several voice messages.  Don't be surprised if the "mailbox" is full. Finally got a response to our text message stating that one of his boys was sick and he was behind on his schedule but everything would be done by the following week.  So I told him to let me know as soon as it was done, so that we could schedule the install. October 24 he shows up with the door but the paint is already peeling off.  So we did not get it installed and he took it back to fix it. 
The door and gate were finally installed on November 13.  They look really nice.  So it took approximately 2 months from start to finish.  He is really hard to contact but his prices are very reasonable.     

Was promised a light fixture which was not made. Fair price offered and additional services promised yet not delivered. Did not install door sweep on two of installed doors at the time of delivery I was told they had run out and would return to complete. Did return to measure for the light fixture a second time and then did not provide it. Failed to answer multiple phone calls and when finally reached I was told that the additional items, including the light fixture, would not be provided, despite having three witnesses to the promised deal.

It went well. The gates are great! Ramon M and his associate did a great job at removing the old broken fences and did a great job of ensuring that the new ones went on perfectly without damaging or messing up the property. They guarenteed their intsallation and workmanship and said the warrenty can transfer to the new owners. I am just amazed at how great it looks! THANKS!! Now I can sleep soundly.

I think they did a beautiful job and it was completed well before schedule. We are all so pleased with the job. The gates are beautiful.

. I had been researching security doors online and by word of mouth, and had driven past Ramon M many times. My friend told me that the company had given her a great price for her doors recently. One Friday afternoon I stopped into the shop on the spur of the moment just to get a quote and look around. I met Ramon who suggested he could come look at the doors and offer a quote the next day (Saturday) but we were not available. I was going to take his card and call back but then he offered to come right then to look and give a quote. It worked for me so I agreed. He immediately came to my house, measured, showed us a sample book of many pictures, gave us a quote, and then put the order in writing right then. We decided quickly to go with them since the quote was very reasonable and they had a sample of a door we really liked. He agreed to come the next Saturday morning to install and arrived promptly the next week as promised. Install went smoothly and the doors are GREAT! We are really happy and would definitely use the company again and refer others to them.

It was good and he did a good job. Other estimates ranged up to $5,000. Ramon was very reasonably priced.

I would not recommend Ramon M Wroght Iron. He came to my house and I picked out the design I wanted. I ordered 3 security doors and 1 entry way gate system. I gave him over half of the money and he said that they would be ready to install in 3 weeks. Well, 3 months later and many visits to his business he finally came and installed the items. They were installed and he was to return to key the locks and install sweeps on the bottom of the doors, I finished paying him. He never returned to finish the last items.
Overall this was a very frustrating experience. I thought I was going to have to take him to court to get my money back.

I had been to the workshop and looked at their pictures and some finished products and knew what motif I wanted for my 2 gates and front screen door. Ramon Sr. came out and measured and gave me an estimate. I placed the order and was told it would take 2 weeks to make the items. I called at the 2 week mark and was told my items were finished and we set up an installation date. Ramon Jr. and another worker came the day they had scheduled and installed the 3 items. They were professional. I was impressed that the gates come in an extra metal frame to keep them from twisting during the ride or while being hung. They brought tools to get any scratches out that may happen during installation. I had a piece of brick that had to be cut to make for a tight fit of one gate and they cut it down. It looks like it was made that way. They had me look everything over and were very concerned that I was happy.

The most important thing is that my door and gates are BEAUTIFUL! They are prettier than I could have hoped. The design is perfect. I will definately use them again if I need wrought iron work.

Ramon Martinez Sr. came out the week of 4/1 to give us an estimate on two custom gates for our front yard. One gate was approx 5 feet wide x 5 1/2 high, the second gate was a standard size width gate by approx the same height. I have a fireplace grate that had the design that I was looking to duplicate for these two gates--very simple, mainly big open S shapes, no animals, plants, et cetera. He asked for a deposit of $900 up front, which we provided. He said the gates would be ready 4/8. I did mention if they needed more time just to let us know. The 8th came and went and no call, no gates. We telephoned them the week of the 11th numerous times, but only were able to leave messages on their answering machine. No one ever called us back. I finally stopped by on my way to work one morning and was able to speak with a worker, one of the welders. His English was not good, but fortunately I speak Spanish and was able to convey a message--I wanted to double check that we were on the same page as to the design of the gates. I also left a message (written) with these instructions, along with my name and at least two numbers where I could be reached. I waited at least two days, but still no phone call. I finally asked my husband if he would check with Martinez since I was having no luck. He also had similiar experiences. The week of the 18th I left a message that if they were too busy, that we would like a refund and we'd find someone else to do the gates. My husband received a call that the gates would be ready and installed that Thursday. On Wednesday I decided to stop by the business to check on the gates to make sure the design was what I had requested. Lo and behold, the design was what I had requested but leaves had been placed at the end of each of the S's--definitely not what I had requested. Also, I was told that my design was too busy so they modified it--of course, I was never consulted. Long story short (sorry), the gates were finally installed that Friday (leaves and all). I do have to say that they are beautiful. I did emphasize both the Wednesday that I stopped at the shop and was able to speak to both Martinez Sr and Jr that my biggest complaint was their lack of communication. If they had just made a call and let me know of the modification and the issue with the time, that things would have run much smoother and we wouldn't have had to leave so many messages. Less grief for everyone. Although Martinez Ornamental has done work for us in the past, I would not use them again. Martinez Sr is a very pleasant man and really cares about the quality of their work, but their lack of professionalism created un-needed stress.

We initially saw the unpainted project a week ago when we stopped by their shop and it was just what we wanted. The door has been painted to an exact match to a color chip we presented to them and it was delivered and installed today. We are extremely pleased with the finished product. Installation was done with minimum mess and no clean-up required. There was a bit of a delay in getting the installation completed but that was related to some communication issues that were no real problem. They were very professional and we are considering them for additional projects at our house. We would have no reservations about highly recommending Ramon M Wrought Iron to others.

After initial contact the company was prompt to come out and give an estimate, but after that it took prompting on our part for each item to be finished (digging holes for the posts, installing the gate). Ramon also told us we'd be able to come into the shop and approve of the gate before it was installed, but that never happened. They just showed up to install it (we missed the approval step). The quality and workmanship were great, but the timeliness could have been better.
