Hi - my name is Rick Aut & I'm returning to the Durango area (left in 2008). A lot has changed in Durango since then, that's for sure. Since I left the area, I went and worked in New England for 10 years & obtained my Massachusetts Contractor license. I also enjoyed the opportunity the be able to reside in Monterey, Ca. where I obtained my Calif. Corporate Class B contractors license. I've returned to the Durango area to enjoy all the beauty & calm that exists here. I have 35+ years of building experience ranging from new home builds to simple handy jobs. Rick was on-time, competent, dependable, cost-conscious, trustworthy and performed quality work. Most importantly, he was wonderful with my elderly mother who is uneasy about having strangers in her home. She felt very comfortable with him and will use him again in a heartbeat!

If you're looking for someone to do work in your home, whether major or not, by someone who knows what he's doing, is a nice guy and has reasonable rates, call Rick. I had multiple projects for him and I am very happy with the results and wouldn't hesitate to call him again. He listens to what you want and then gets it done. Thx Rick.

He did everything for us. Had great ideas, many of them were money savers for us. For example we have a back deck with railings all around and we have a metal roof. The snow would come off the roof on our deck and pile up. The snow was to heavy to lift over the railings. He changed it so that 3 of the rails during the winter could lift up so all we had to do was move the snow over the edge. During the summer we put the rails and you would never know that you could move them.
